The 1 value would have been stuck below, but was and still is a very rare stamp and unfortunately this is not unusual. FC065ZV th June 1946 Victory in Europe, Daggers Hall Lane Blackpool CDS on registered Feasey of Manchester cover. We are not sure if you can argue a dagger is connected or not, but we like it and the Post office is still there. 25 per month over 4 months 11th May 1937 Coronation of King George VI, pre-released on 11th May with a High Wycombe slogan postmark on a plain typed cover. This is the day before the Coronation and two days before the official release (13th). FC069C 75 13th May 1937 Coronation of King George VI, plain registered cover cancelled with a Kingston Vale, Putney CDS. Has also had the three definitive values (issued on the 10th) also on the cover. Clear stike on the bottom right hand corner to show postmark. FC080H 75 6th May 1940 Centenary of the Penny Black, London Red Cross postmark, Perkins Bacon blue cover. Produced by the Westminster Stamp Co and sent to Milwaukee USA. FC090J 35 11th June 1946 Victory in Europe, plain registered cover with London Chief Office S8 CDS postmark. Typed address to Sidcup in Kent. FC1022A 20 24th April 1974 Fire Service, Cambridge FDI postmark on Post Office cover with pencilled address. Cambridge had a special postmark so this would have been quite hard to find. FC per month over 5 months 9th October 1974 Centenary of the Birth of Winston Churchill, House of Commons CDS postmark on Save the Children Fund cover. FC126L 35 10th October th Anniversary of the Universal Postal Union, Riddlesdown South Croydon CDS cancelling blocks of four on a plain cover with a neat handwritten address. A nice neat cover. FC1064A 25 9th October 1974 Centenary of the Birth of Winston Churchill, Cambridge FDI postmark on Post Office cover. FC558A 75 18th August 1966 England Winners, Diss Norfolk First day of Issue forged postmark on Stuart cover. Pulham Market CDS has also been added to the stamp which we believe is genuine. FC866A 25 25th August 1971 General Anniversaries, Huddersfield FDI postmark on Universal cover, this is the home of Huddersfield RUFC founded in FC908A 20 13th September th Anniversary of the BBC, London WC FDI postmark on typed Philart cover. FC671V 60 29th April 1968 British Bridges, Menai Bridge Special First Day of Issue Slogan postmark on Philart cover with label address. FD087E 50 24th September 1934 King George V 1d Red cancelled with Twickenham Middx wavy line slogan plus a very unusual 'Found in Brighton without contents cachet. As we assume it was done by a collector there were no contents to be found and it would not have been, and is still not sealed. Flexi-pay available on all items! Cancelled with Evesham double ring CDS at 7pm and then the pair of 1d dues were added and cancelled with a single ring Evesham CDS at 8pm, plus the old style '2' cachet. Handwritten address to Port Street in Evesham. 20 per month over 5 months FD114Q 100 1st September 1936 King Edward VIII ½d Green, 1½d Brown and 2½d blue cancelled with Queen Street Exeter CDS postmark on registered Display Cover. A little grubby and the back flap is missing flap is missing. Sent to Wankie in Southern Rhodesia, now Hwange in Zimbabwe. Receiving mark on the reverse (24th September). 20 th April d Postage Due To get the dates and postmarks they wanted early cover collectors had to know how the postal system worked, inside and out plus backwards and forwards and this is especially true with the first postage dues from W J Wilson was one of these people, and he wanted the 5d postage due. So the day before the issue he arranged to have a cover posted in Brugge on the 19th April, from a back-stamp it then looks like it was received in Birmingham at 1pm the next day, where the missing stamp was spotted and the new stamp was added with a Handsworth CDS plus the original 5d due cachet. At some point on the 20th it was also carried by the North Western TPO Day Down, which I assume was somewhere in the middle. The route I have in mind the next day is the cover being flown from Belgium to Liverpool and then the train to Birmingham, but you have also to add into the mix that it was the first year of the Great War, though it seems Brugge was not occupied till October that year. A great cover, done by one of the leading cover dealers of the 20th Century. This special cover was produced when the experiment was extended to Link with London. The cover has 5 worth of stamps on it, over 20 today. FD341S 45 1st July 1964 Double First Day Cover, International Geographical Conference and Holiday Booklet both issued on the same day and both cancelled with a Stratford Upon Avon CDS postmark. FD307B per month over 5 months 18th August d Regionals, set of six matching illustrations with the correct postmarks. Cachet address to the Ardallan Stamp Company in Wimborne Dorset. FD st December 1969 Stamps for Cooks Prestige Booklet, set of four with Milk Marketing special postmarks on Trident covers with small label address. 40 per month FC001H 200 over 5 months 23rd April 1924 British Empire Exhibition Wembley, Wembley Park special slogan on single 1½d value, cachet address to R A King in Northern Ireland, neatly opened at the top. FC003A per month over 9 months 23rd April 1924 British Empire Exhibition Wembley, Empire Exhibition Wembley Park special Handstamp, sent to Switzerland. It looks like the handwritten name above the address has been erased, but we believe this may have happen on most of them. Attractive cover as three features five stamps each with own cancel. 5

FRONT BACK FC049ZB 75 7th May 1935 Silver Jubilee of King George V, East Strand Oval Registered CDS postmark, neat typed cover address in the centre, has two paper clip marks at top. FC048T 50 7th May 1935 Silver Jubilee of King George V, single 2½d cancelled with large London EC CDS. Plain Mitsui Bank cover, carried to New York by SS Aquitania with the Bank s Official Wax seal on the reverse. FC050D 250 7th May 1935 Silver Jubilee of King George V, Windsor wavy line slogan on pair of covers featuring three of the four values. Both unaddressed International Historical Committee Arlington Massachusetts covers. FC154C 25 3rd June 1953 Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II Qantas cover flown to Karachi, Pakistan, 1/3d cancelled with Long Live the Queen slogan. Karachi receiving mark on the reverse (5th June). FC154M 25 3rd June 1953 Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II Qantas cover flown to New Zealand, 1/6d cancelled with Long Live the Queen slogan. Wellington receiving slogan on the reverse (9th June). FC165A per month over 5 months 1st August 1957 Scouts, Sutton Coldfield CDS on illustrated cover, a few marks where a pencilled address has been removed. FC156D 25 3rd June 1953 Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II Qantas Airletter flown to Mauritius, 4d and 2½d stamps cancelled with Long Live the Queen slogan, Port Louis receiving slogan on the reverse (7th June). FC201B 50 25th September 1961 Parliament, Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference special slogan postmark, Sterling Offices Limited cover. Opened at the top and a little foxing. FC4009F per month over 6 months 9th May 1979 European Parliament, Stowmarket and Verneuil twinning Entente Cordiale official double postmarked cover. Just 100 of this cover were produced. 7

Also supplied with a mint corner part sheet of 20 stamps with a mint example of this error and the more specialist 'broken A'. Unusual as the Bureau was in London and there was no GPO cover till next year.
