2 Active Zone Active Zone will take place in The Dunstone Cottage at the Pre-Prep Site which is located on the corner of Winnowsty Lane. Entrance, collection and exit is via the main school gate on Winnowsty Lane. Each day will start at 9am and end at 5pm, unless otherwise stated. Children will then separate into their age groups. For any parents requiring extended hours there will be an Early Club from 8am and a Late Club until 6pm at an extra charge. *Year 3 may choose which age group they would like to join. (3-7 OR 7-12) Non - Trip day Event Day Trip day 9am-5pm ~ am - 5pm ~ am-5pm ~ am-6pm ~ am - 6pm ~ am-6pm ~ Children are to wear play clothes and not uniform. Each day has a brief outline of what we will be doing. We allow time for free play and any impromptu activities sparked by the children. Each day a packed lunch and a drink is required please. We do provide drinks also. Please DO NOT send in any egg or nuts as there has been an increase in the number of children with food allergies. On trip days children may bring spending money but please send a sensible amount as we do get carried away sometimes! PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARRIVE ON TIME FOR DAYS! MOST S LEAVE SCHOOL AT 9AM, OCCASIONALLY, IF WE HAVE FURTHER TO GO WE WILL LEAVE EARLIER. THIS WILL BE ADDED TO THE DAYS INFORMATION. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE LEAVE ON TIME PLEASE. If you would like your child to take part in ACTIVE ZONE, please complete and return the booking Form. PAYMENT IS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF BOOKING Wisepay is available and preferred however, you must still complete the attached booking in form. (Payment option will be made available once your form has been processed.) Cheques made payable to LINCOLN MINSTER SCHOOL please. You can also pay using Bank transfer Barclays Bank, Sort Code Account no (please make a reference for holiday club and your child's name with payment) All childcare voucher schemes are accepted.
3 Important things to remember. Packed lunch (NO nuts please due to allergies) Apply sun cream before you come to holiday club - also bring it with you on hot days for top ups when needed. Sun hats Raincoats A sensible amount of spending money on trip days (if you would like to) Arrive on time for trip days please. If you are unsure on times please check with a member of staff. Dress appropriately for the day planned. Hoodies are available each Payment Throughout the summer holiday payments can be split and vouchers/cheques post dated to cover the weeks available. WEEK 1 SUMMER SUNSHINE MONDAY 10th - Create some beautiful CD garden decoration to hang up at school and some to take home. We ll even turn a CD into a shimmering fish. Bubbles, bubbles and more bubbles! TUESDAY 11th - ICE CREAM VAN What can we make with lollypop sticks? Let s try photo frames and aeroplanes for starters. Create some pretty ornaments using seashells and buttons. Parachute games for all to enjoy! WEDNESDAY 12th - ~ CONKERS The award winning attraction at the heart of the National Forest, a unique mix of indoor and outdoor experiences to keep you engaged for hours - whatever the weather! Will you be brave enough to do the bare foot challenge? THURSDAY 13th - Bhangra Dance Workshop Learn to dance in a fun and colourful environment, listen to the dahl drum rhythm and move your body. Design you own henna hands and try some on your own hands (if you want to). Create some beautiful rangoli sand patterns for all to enjoy! Swimming - free play/splash session at Yarborough. FRIDAY 14th - ~ SEASIDE - MABLETHORPE Enjoy a good old traditional day out at the seaside! Play on the beach, paddle, build sandcastles, visit the arcades and enjoy a fish and chip lunch. Finish the day in the delightful paddling pool and water fountains before heading home. WEEK 2 LOST IN LEGO MONDAY 17th - Let s go on a Lego Man treasure hunt around school - how many can you find? Design and make a funky photo frame using lego bricks. We ll even take a lego themed photograph to go inside. Make some tasty Lego biscuits for all to enjoy - yum! TUESDAY 18th - ICE CREAM VAN Invent your own Lego character - what will they look like? Transfer your design onto your own cool t-shirt to wear with pride. Building Challenge - using only Lego bricks! Team games using only Lego bricks! Can you invent a game too? WEDNESDAY 19th - ~ TWIN LAKES A fabulous Theme Park that has endless adventures of family fun packed with variety, adventure and fun for all. THURSDAY 20th - STRAWBERRY PICKING Pop to the local P.Y.O. and do just that. Enjoy collecting a whole punnet of strawberries to share with your family. Swimming - free play/splash session at Yarborough. FRIDAY 21st - ~ BRIMHAM ROCKS Loved by all ages! Climb the heights of Brimham Rocks and explore. Rocks to suit all ages - fun for everyone! WEEK 3 BRILLIANT BOOKS MONDAY 24th - Dr. Seuss Day - comic books, book marks, note books, sock challenges and more! TUESDAY 25th - ICE CREAM VAN Julia Donaldson Day - Stick Man sun catchers, stick painting, flour footprints, chalk footprints and anything else we can fit in. Red Carpet Experience - Go to Tiny Feet Photography Studio and experience fame. You ll have a mini photoshoot and then drinks with your friends. Photos will be available for your parents to buy if they wish to. WEDNESDAY 26th - ~ FORBIDDEN CORNER A unique labyrinth of tunnels, chambers, follies and surprises created in the heart the Yorkshire Dales. THURSDAY 27th - WET N WILD & BUILD A BEAR Be prepared to get wet! (If you want to!) We ll have paddling pools, hosepipes, water guns, slip n slide mats..and hopefully lovely warm sunshine! Make your own loveable bear to treasure forever. FRIDAY 28th - ~ WOODSIDE WILDLIFE PARK Woodside Wildlife Park in Lincolnshire is a fun packed day visitor attraction. We have tigers, white wolves, meercats, lemurs, and much more.

How about using marbles? What can we create with the chalk? Create your best masterpiece with canvas and string! WEDNESDAY 2nd - ~ RAND FARM Child-focused farm with animals to feed, tractor and trailer rides and indoor and outdoor play areas. THURSDAY 3rd - JUNK PERCUSSION This workshop is fantastic fun, look at how old pots and pans, buckets and brushes can be recycled, repurposed and transformed into amazing instruments. Experienced instructors encourage everyone to use their imaginations, find their inner rhythm and learn simple songs to accompany the music they play. FRIDAY 4th - ~ WILLIAMS DEN William's Den is a new and exciting adventure attraction, giving children the chance to connect with nature and get active. A unique environment, inside and out, where children can play, explore, run, climb, build dens and learn. WEEK 4 WILD WILD WEST MONDAY 7th - Make tepees and totem poles to decorate the school grounds. Play Cowboys and Indians to our heart s content. TUESDAY 8th - ICE CREAM VAN Let s play Cowboys and Indians! Make a sheriff badge or an Indian headdress. Play Panning for Gold, try apple bobbing and have your face painted if you wish. WEDNESDAY 9th - ~ SUNDOWN ADVENTURE A wonderful day out for all to enjoy! THURSDAY 10th - CIRCUS ACTS Make a beautiful dream catcher to hang up in your bedroom and catch all your wonderful dreams. Circus Skills followed by an entertaining show! Pedalgos, diabolos, spinning plates, twirling ribbons, devil sticks, unicycles, stilts, walking globe, tightrope, rolla bollos, juggling, scarves, hoops, clubs and balls! WOW SO MUCH FUN! FRIDAY 11th - ~ TROPICAL BUTTERFLY HOUSE, WILDLIFE & FALCONRY CENTRE Meet the mini beasts and meerkats, butterflies, birds and amazing wildlife from around the world... WEEK 6 AWESOME ANIMALS MONDAY 14th - Carnival day - make masks, musical instruments and brightly coloured ladybirds. Dance and shake to the music! TUESDAY 15th ICE CREAM VAN Tourist Tuesday - make your own camera and then hunt around the school on an animal safari. Create your own photo album to share the pictures at home. Duck racing Will your duck travel the fastest? WEDNESDAY 16th - ~ WOBURN SAFARI PARK Woburn Safari Park is a wildlife park with over 1000 animals in a Road Safari and Foot Safari. Get closer to rhino, giraffe, elephants, lions, sea lions, monkeys and much more! THURSDAY 17th - REPTILE MAN A HUGE success last year!! Every child held Charlotte the tarantula - what will we do this year? The Reptile Man brings every creature imaginable - including an albino hedgehog to hold! FRIDAY 18th - ~ LINCOLNSHIRE WILDLIFE PARK An amazing wildlife park, Incorporating The National Parrot Sanctuary

Bring your sleeping bag and onesie! Using our navigation skills we will find our base camp for the evening. Once there, we will make a fire - without matches. Then we will spend some time building our shelters for the evening and making them comfortable. After we have cooked dinner on our camp fire we head off for a dusk walk in search of bats and deer. Back at camp, we will settle down for hot chocolate and games. After a cosy night in the camp, we will get the fires going again for breakfast then head back to civilisation. *TREE TOP JUNIOR EXPERIENCE* *Please note this trip will cost 100, this includes both days & all expenses.
