She received her Bachelor s Degree in Business Management from Iowa State University in Jennifer started her career in western Iowa in 1996 near Carroll, Iowa. In 2000, Jennifer moved to the Des Moines area to build a financial services practice in central Iowa. This building was home to Mathew Carpet Center in the past. After searching for a building for over one year, Timeless Treasures Corner s founders took possession of 121 High Ave West on July 1st The building has two levels of floor space to comfortably display its large selection of inventory. Randy has lived in Oskaloosa for four years. Randy has helped with various tasks at the Chamber of Commerce over nine months. Randy has helped sweep sidewalks, clean the garage and basement, fold brochures, help setup and tear-down Friday After Five, move office furniture and much more. Randy has been very helpful to the OACDG staff. Occasionally, we let him have a chocolate out of the candy bowl! Thank you, Randy, for helping the girls at the office! July 2014 Communicator 3 July 4th Fireworks Southern Iowa Fairgrounds Friday, July 4 Come and enjoy the many activities that will take place on July 4 at the Southern Iowa Fairgrounds. Actitives from Noon until 4 pm include music by KBOE (live broadcast), Sno-Biz serving FREE Sno-Biz, Free admission to inflatables, and Hy-Vee grilling! Gates at the grandstand will open at 8:30 pm for the fireworks display to take place at 10 pm. There will be beverages and popcorn available from the concession stand. Many prizes to give away as well as raffle tickets for $1 for a chance to win an ipad and an Xbox One.

Stop and take a look. Find them on Facebook or call Carrrie Vander Beek is the new Southern Iowa Fairgrounds Manager. Carrie has helped her mother & former manager, Kelly Long, in the office the last five years, and now takes over the position. The office is open full-time in the summer months, and M-W-F in off season. The year is spent lining up events, publishing the fair book, winter storage, management of weekly races finances, concessions and of course the fair to be held July Debbie s Celebration Barn is in full swing at nd St. in Oskaloosa. Owner Debbie Sedrel cuts the ribbon. The barn is ready for weddings, receptions, meetings, parties, class reunions and more thanks to the help of Derek Sellars and several others. Event venue includes chairs, tables, area for catering, dressing room, photo booth, screen, stage, chandeliers, lights, arches, bar and more. This 1972 barn was constructed using recycled barn boards. This breakfast, served by Chris Cakes, honors the fair participants, 4-H members and leaders, fair board and auction buyers. The Livestock Auction will be held beginning at 8 am. See you there!

5 July 2014 Art on the Square It was a beautiful sunny day for Art on the Square with many beautiful pieces of artwork! The day included the $5000 raffle as well as many artist awards. Clair Kelderman always attracts many of our younger shoppers with her artwork. Communicator 5
