2 Summer is the perfect time to travel...in an imaginary plane across the country that is. Enjoy this excerpt from our brand new workbook entitled, Learning Across the USA. This free gift includes several states that have popular spots to visit especially during the summer. Learn about the states before you go! Each sheet includes space for students to fill in information they learn about each state. Older students can do independent research to find the answers. There is an answer key at the back, which can be used to teach the facts to younger students. Information your child will learn about each state includes: state flag, state abbreviation, state capital, date it became a state, origin of the state's name, nickname, state tree, state rock, state insect, state bird, state flower, famous people, landmarks, and major industries. The complete workbook includes state flower and state bird cut outs that children glue to each state's page. In addition, there is a Resource Section including: blank USA map, map with capitals, travel ticket, mileage tape measure, Jeopardy Review Game, Assessment, and place to store state quarters collection. Have fun traveling across the USA!
