1 Introduced by Councilmember ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PASADENA AMENDING SECTIONS AND OF THE PASADENA MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING SPEED LIMITS IN THE CITY OF PASADENA The People of the City of Pasadena ordain as follows: SECTION 1. This ordinance, due to its length and the corresponding cost of publication, will be published by title and summary as permitted by Section 508 of the Pasadena City Charter. The approved summary of this ordinance is as follows: "Summary Ordinance No. amends Chapter (Speed Limits) of the Pasadena Municipal Code to consolidate sections (State maximum decreased) and (State minimum increased) under one, renamed, section , "Prima Facie Speed Limits on Non-local streets." Section has been deleted in its entirety. Additional changes in the listed speed limits have been made to match existing Engineering and Traffic Surveys and to add additional streets to the list. Ordinance No. shall take effect 30 days from its publication." SECTION 2. Pasadena Municipal code, Title 10, Chapter 10.48, Section is amended or revised to read: State maximum decreased Prima facie speed of non-local streets. It is determined upon the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation that the speed permitted by state la.v outside the business and residence districts the orderly movement of vehicular traffic would be facilitated in a reasonable and safe manner by establishing enforceable speed limits under the conditions found to exist upon the following streets. It as applicable upon the follov1ing streets is greater than is reasonable or safe under the conditions found to exist upon such and it. It is declared that the prima facie speed limit shall be as herein set forth on those streets or parts of streets herein designated when signs are erected giving notice thereof: 1
