6 6 Completed Projects Building of the community room Neighborhood Ciudad Obispo Angelelli II, Córdoba The neighbors of Ciudad Obispo Angelelli II, in Córdoba, carried out their community activities in a precarious building that was out in the open. In 2017, we opened a community room of 45 m2 covered and 25 m2 semi-covered with bathroom and kitchen. Together with the help of Encuentro de Organizaciones, we provide educational support, tea and workshops for the children of the neighborhood. Community Hall in Neighborhood Ciudad Obispo Angelelli II, Córdoba. Extension of the kindergarten Villa La Florida, Quilmes. Multi-purpose Room of the Kindergarten No. 4 Girls and boys of the kindergarten No. 4 of Villa La Florida did not have an adequate place to develop their activities. In 2017, we opened a multi-purpose room of 100 m2 and the Municipality shall continue the building of classrooms in order to expand the educational offer. The work was performed by EWB-Switzerland, along with Club Leo Los Kilmes, students of the Technical School No. 3 of San Francisco Solano and the educational community of the kindergarten.
7 7 Expansion of a Farm school Colonia Dora, Santiago del Estero The Avellaneda Farming Family School offers access to secondary education for young teenagers from rural settlements that live partly at home and partly at school. In 2017, we finished the construction of two classrooms and a module for teachers. This project allows an increase of 70% in student capacity to welcome more young peasants. The work was carried out jointly with EWB- Switzerland volunteers, teachers, parents, students and school neighbors. Avellaneda Farming Family School, Colonia Dora. Access to water in El Negrito Santiago del Estero Access to water in El Negrito. El Negrito is an isolated community in the hills of Santiago del Estero. Its sixty inhabitants used to drink rainwater, and, in times of drought, they had to resort to other sources of water which are unhealthy for human consumption. In 2017, we finished the construction of a rainwater harvesting system with roofs and cisterns in each home that allows for its storage. We also expanded the existing water reservoirs for animal consumption and other uses, installed a system to extract water from the reservoirs and organized water distribution to every house with a community motorcycle.
8 8 Some projects in progress Building a childhood center José León Suárez, District of San Martín This project aims to make daily lives of families easier through the construction of an area of support, socialization and education mainly for kids in the early childhood. The Municipality of San Martín will conduct the starting up of the nursery. Childhood center José LeónSuárez, District of San Martín Access to water in Santa Rosa Santa Rosa, Santiago del Estero We are working together with the Municipality of Colonia Dora to provide the community with access to safe drinking water. Santa Rosa, Santiago del Estero
9 9 Expansion of Todos por una Sonrisa soup kitchen Altos de San Lorenzo, La Plata We are working on the construction of a room with all the facilities required for the soup kitchen to work in a safe way and which also allow an increase in the activities that could be carried out there. Todos por una Sonrisa soup kitchen, Altos de San Lorenzo, La Plata Extension of Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza child daycare center Villa La Florida, Quilmes District We are building a multi-purpose room for Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza child daycare center, that receives sixty boys, girls, and young adults daily and provides school support, music workshops, recycling, reading, among other activities. Child daycare center, Villa La Florida
