Its subsidiary in Colombia, Impala Terminals Colombia, recently built a fluvial port in Barrancabermeja, on the Magdalena River Project Desc.: The port occupies more than 60 ha of land and about 1.2 km of river coast. Consists of two main terminals, one for naphtha, heavy and light oil, and other for containers and general cargo. Its construction required a total investment of more than USD 400 million and generated employment for more than 2,000 workers Contract Type: GCA was in charge of almost the whole construction process through an EPCM contract Years: Client: Sociedad Portuaria Aguadulce (SPIA). Company owned by ICTSI and PSA, two of the leading port operators in the world, with more than 70 ports worldwide Project Desc.: SPIA is a multipurpose port located in Buenaventura in the Colombian Pacific Coast.
