They will also have the unique opportunity to investigate various programmes & see the industry 1 st -hand. The tour is customised & routed to afford the students the opportunity to explore not only the selected subject fields, but to also incorporate a true World Travel element, keeping the group busy with many fun & exciting excursions. 3 Summarised Tour Itinerary Day 1: Melbourne Rome, Italy Meet your Travel and Sport representative at OR Tambo International Airport. Depart from Durban for your overnight flight to Rome, Italy. Day 2: Arrive Rome Arrive early this morning in Rome and transfer directly to your hotel to check in & freshen up. Then, begin your journey with a full-day city tour of the historic Roman city centre, including stops at the Roman Forum & Appian Way. Continue your tour of the past, with viewings of the Palatine and Capitoline Hills including the Hippodrome and Constantine's Arch. Finally, this afternoon transfer to the mighty Colosseum for a guided tour of this iconic structure. Return to your accommodation, enjoy dinner & cap off a thrilling 1st day with a walking evening fountains tour viewing the illuminated fountains including the Trevi Fountain, Bernini s Fountain & the Spanish Steps. Day 3: Rome After spending the previous day walking in the footsteps of one of Mankind s greatest empire builders, begin this morning with a transfer to the Holy centre of Catholicism and the smallest sovereign city-state in the World The Vatican City! After a light lunch, continue on to Rome s La Sapienza University. Here you will enjoy a guided tour of this 712-year old institution. After touring the campus, attend a private lecture. *Subject to availability Day 4: Rome Pompeii - Rome Today, take a day-trip transfer by coach on to your next stop on tour Pompeii! Upon arrival in Pompeii, take an exciting guided Archaeological Tour of the site. Mount Vesuvius, a volcano near the Bay of Naples in Italy, is hundreds of thousands of years old and has erupted more than 50 times. Its most famous eruption took place in the year 79 A.D., when the volcano buried the ancient Roman city of Pompeii under a thick carpet of volcanic ash. Day 5: Rome (Siena en-route) Pisa Florence Today, bid farewell to this Eternal City and make your way north and onward to the city of Florence, stopping en-route in the beautiful town of Siena. Travel on to your next stop on tour Pisa before travelling on to the City of Lilies Florence! On arrival, in this World-famous city, enjoy a short walking tour and a viewing of The Leaning Tower of Pisa. Later, return to Rome after a day of wondrous discovery in this ancient place. Day 6: Florence Today, bid farewell to this Eternal City and make your way north and onward to the city of Florence, stopping en-route to visit the Arcetri Astrophysical Observatory. Begin with a visit to the Arcetri Astrophysical Observatory located just outside the centre of Florence, on the same hill where Galileo Galilei spent, in forced exile, the last 11 years of his life making many of his cosmological observations, namely the phases of Venus and the Galilean moons of Jupiter. Arrive in Florence this afternoon and check in before heading to the Galleria dell Accademia to admire one of Michelangelo s masterpieces The Statue of David. Day 7: Florence Maranello - Milan Depart Florence and head into the heart of Italy, headed for Maranello home of Ferrari! Here, enjoy a visit to Galleria Ferrari s Red Campus, where the group will learn all about the mechanics of Ferrari cars, their production, and the science involved. After exploring the world of high-octane precision engineering, enjoy a pleasant lunch and then continue on to the city of Milan. Upon arrival in Milan, travel to the Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci for a tour of discovery and to learn about the man who so influenced how we think about science.

4 Day 8: Milan Aiguille du Midi - Geneva This morning, visit the Leonard Da Vinci Museum of Science before continue your journey to the next leg of the tour Geneva Switzerland. After travelling through the Mont Blanc Tunnel, stop in the town of Chamonix where a tour highlight awaits Passage up the Aiguille du Mid to get up close to the snow-covered the summit of Mont Blanc! Continue and arrive in Geneva, Switzerland. Upon arrival, check into your accommodation before heading out to the internationally-renowned Edelweiss Restaurant for dinner this evening! Day 9: CERN Discovery Tour After breakfast in this alpine resort-city, depart for the ICT Discovery Centre for a journey into the world of modern day technology and communications. This United Nations initiative is aimed specifically at informing aspiring young technology professionals of the career possibilities in this booming industry. Here, discover the Large Hadron Collider among other special exhibits. See the iconic experiments of the gargantuan CERN facility and explore exhibits including the Microcosm Exhibition & the Synchro- Cyclotron. Return to CERN today where you will visit the Microcosm Exhibition as well as exploring the history of this important institution visiting the Synchro-Cyclotron. This is a must-see for all budding scientists & engineers! Day 10 Geneva - Paris Today, bid farewell to Geneva and board your coach to the City of Lights - Paris, France. En-route, detour for a short informal walking tour & lunch stop in Dijon enroute to Paris. After a brief sojourn taking in the stunning views on offer, continue to Paris. Arriving in the city, disembark your coach and transfer to your hotel. Check in and enjoy some leisure time, resting tired legs, before transferring this evening, to the Eiffel Tower to enjoy the glittering Global icon. Here, travel up to the top level to enjoy the breath-taking nigh-time views. Day 11 Paris After breakfast at your hotel, travel to visit the Cite des Sciences et de l Industrie and take an epic journey through the museum marvelling at the interstellar constellations at the 15-meter wide Zeiss Planetarium. This afternoon, enjoy a self-guided Walking Tour of Paris today where the group will visit a number of iconic sites in the city including the stunning Notre Dame Cathedral and Arc de Triomphe before heading over to the iconic Louvre Museum! This evening, the group will have the opportunity to enjoy the city of Paris at their leisure. Visite Zone passes will afford access to the group to the heart of the city. Day 12 Paris - RSA Following breakfast, transfer to a much-anticipated highlight of the tour for a full day of fun Disneyland Paris! Here you will be able to enjoy access to the park of your choice! Enjoy a full- day trip to Disneyland Paris for an unforgettable day of fun. Rollercoaster your way past the different lands and their castles in the park such as Fantasyland, Discoveryland, Adventureland and Frontierland. Meet the enigmatic characters of the magical world of Walt Disney. This promises to be an unforgettable experience. Following a thrilling day of adventure at Disney, transfer to the airport where you will board your overnight flight to Melbourne.
