2 Greetings from the President of the Government of Cantabria Once again Cantabria welcomes participants in Superdeportivos, a spectacular event that brings together, on our roads, the best sports cars in Spain and other countries. It is a source of pride to see the increase, year after year, of the influx to this prestigious event, a just reward for the effort organization makes to always offer an unforgettable experience. Superdeportivos beckons us to four days full of opportunities to admire and enjoy the most spectacular vehicles in the world. The owners will have the opportunity to travel with them through landscapes of infinite beauty, on safe roads in perfect condition so they can be be carried away by the pleasure of driving. The Parque de Las Llamas in Santander, the centre of the capital, the Bay, the Cubas estuary, Pedreña, the Hermida gorge, Picos de Europa or Potes will be some of the impressive vistas through which the Supercars will circulate. In addition, on this occasion, the visit to Liébana will be marked by the great event to which Cantabria has been dedicated since last April, the Jubilee Year of Lebaniego, a moment of exceptional devotion for Christianity and of notable tourist interest for those who come to this Autonomous Community, which since the Middle Ages shares it s Jubilee privilege with Jerusalem, Rome and Santiago de Compostela. There is no lack of ingredients to enjoy these days to the fullest, so I want to congratulate the organization, with the assurance that this 11th edition will be a new success. 3 Greetings from the Mayor of Santander Superdeportivos Cantabria Ciudad de Santander has become, on its own merits, a social event expected by all Santander people and an important date for the projection of our city abroad. What began as a meeting space for the exchange of experiences, relationships and knowledge about the most exciting vehicles in the world of motoring has become a consolidated tourist attraction that adds in a special way to the increasingly varied cultural, tourist and leisure offers of our city. Once again, this time between May 17 and 20, Santander will proudly welcome the hundreds of participants arriving from different parts of Europe who already know that our city is theirs. To them, new ones will be added that will drive for the first time through the Cantabrian capital and all we will welcome with open arms. The XI edition of Superdeportivos Cantabria Ciudad de Santander takes months to be designed so it can surprise us again. I am convinced that the good work of the organizers will materialize in a new spectacle for fans of the motor world, and at the same time in an event that is ever closer and open to everyone, making this classic an event for the whole family. In 2017, the supercars took the city in a beautiful parade that we will consolidate again this year, so that everyone, big and small, can contemplate the unique sports cars, vibrate with the powerful engines or capture with our cameras the beauty of the design of these high end cars. Superdeportivos Cantabria Ciudad de Santander has successfully completed its first ten years, which makes us dream of a promising future in which this event continues to grow for the benefit of all. A city full of life and excitement awaits the participants. 4 Greetings from the President of Superdeportivos Cantabria Two decades ago we started this wonderful adventure and nothing foreshadowed the tremendous success and reception of the public. In these ten years we have encountered many difficult moments, but our motivation has been as great as our enthusiasm to get into each edition the participation of more cars, more spectacles, the assistance of more people, more surprises, but above all, more love from the public towards this event that floods the capital of Cantabria with luxury and glamour for four days in the month of May. It is a project loaded, edition after edition, with novelties; music that arises from the best engines in the world that makes all us motor lovers shiver with excitement, at the noise and the spectacular cars that release multiple emotions in a unique setting. A setting where participants can fully enjoy their supercars in the spectacular landscapes of the Cantabrian mountain range, as well as delight at the exquisite cuisines in the best restaurants in the region, among which appear establishments that are awarded with a Michelin Star. The symphony is about to begin. We assure you that on this occasion we have redoubled our efforts so that the sensations multiply and you will enjoy absolutely unforgettable experiences. Those who repeat with us are going to see that we are able to improve ourselves every year and those who have decided to know us can rest assured that this experience will leave an unforgettable mark on your lives. 14 Registration Policy Registration: 1. Fill out the Registration Form form in all its sections. 2. The Organization will authorize or deny each application based on the cars characteristics, through . Normative: 1. SDC accreditation is personal and non-transferable. 2. The participants must follow at all times the instructions given by the SDC security personnel. 3. All participant s cars must be present at the Gala Dinner and all other events. The SDC organizers would appreciate punctual arrival. 4. On drive outs please be sure you have sufficient fuel to avoid unnecessary stops. 5. The routes marked by the organization are common roads open to normal trafic. Participants must always respect the Spanish current driving rules, as well as instructions given by the SDC organization security personnel. Please respect the speed limits, maintain safety distances and avoid dangerous acceleration and overtaking. Breaking Spanish driving rules and laws may invalidate participants insurance and liability cover in the event of a claimsuperdeportivos Cantabria cannot accept liability for participants driving or misconduct. 6. In the Grand Parade will participate only those supercars that are properly accredited. Confirmation of receiving such authorization will be communicated to the participant when they receive confirmation of participation in the event. NOTA: The organization reserves the right to totally or partially change the program of the event. We reserve the right to deny admission at participants who have acted at earlier SDC events in a manner likely to bring the event into disrepute.
