The Office of Visitor Services, on behalf of our campus community at historic eace College, welcomes you as our guest during the NC Conference of The United Methodist Church, June 15-18, 2011 in Raleigh, North Carolina. eace College, founded in 1857, is a four-year baccalaureate institution for women, historically affiliated with the resbyterian Church, USA. Our new evening degree program, open to both male and female students, includes Our compact campus is within walking distance of museums, the Governor s Mansion, the governmental plaza for city, county, state and federal entities, fine and casual dining, the State Capitol, and a quick drive or ride on the Downtown Raleigh Circulator R Line bus to the Raleigh Convention and Conference Center, and the rogress Energy erforming Arts Center, among other downtown amenities. As our guest, you will be housed in an air-conditioned residence as assigned by N.C. Methodist Conference planning team. Those residences are: 1) Ross Residence Hall: Suite room accommodations two bedrooms rooms share a bath, two twinsized beds per room a. This hall contains a large fitness center, two kitchens (one full-sized with a microwave, refrigerator and vending machines), a large lounge with a large-screen TV, and a no-fee laundry facility. 2) Davidson Residence Hall (adjacent to Ross): Suite accommodations and shares amenities with Ross. 3) Bingham Residence Hall: Cottage-style accommodations 3 or 4 double occupancy rooms share two baths, living room, kitchen with full-sized refrigerator and stove, with personal laundry facilities within each cottage, and vending machines are on the ground floor. a. orches with rocking chairs on each of the three floors offers a pleasant place to relax, unwind, and view the surrounding community. All residences contain elevators, and are conveniently located within seconds of the Belk Dining Hall, your location for full Southern-style breakfasts each morning of your residency, which is covered by the Conference. lease view our campus map for the locations of each of these buildings. Registration: Takes place in the Mezzanine Level of the Raleigh Convention Center. Room keys and 24- hour residence hall access cards will be issued at registration and collected at the Annual Conference Registration desk. 4 soap. Room Furnishings: In addition to the twin-sized beds in each room, you will find a bedside table, dresser, desk and chair. Feel free to bring comfort items such as a desk lamp, alarm clock, hangers for your closet, fitted sheet and/or extra blanket or comforter, if preferred, and a small personal TV. Cable TV service is available by simply plugging in your own cable to the existing room port. lease bring a cell phone as inroom telephones are not included. arking: Feel free to park at no charge, no permit required in any lots on our campus. We ask that you avoid spaces marked reserved and fire lanes. 5 OFFICE OF THE CONFERENCE SECRETARY The United Methodist Church North Carolina Conference, Southeastern Jurisdiction ost Office Box 1970 Garner, North Carolina Dear Clergy and Lay Member of the NC Annual Conference, The NC Conference provides dormitory housing for Clergy and Lay Members to Annual Conference and has contracted with eace College to pay for 3 nights stay plus a daily breakfast per person. lease remember this as you make your eace College housing reservation. Due to the limited amount of space, we will be unable to provide housing for any other attendees, i.e. spouses, children, etc. Rooms will be assigned on a first-come first-served basis. IMORTANT CHANGES to dorm housing for 2011 Rooms are double occupancy so we will not be able to honor requests for single rooms. Breakfast will be provided daily in Belk Dining hall from 6:00 am 7:30 am. eace College Housing Registration will be on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 between the hours of 8:00 am 1:00 pm at the Raleigh Convention Center, Mezzanine Level While eace does not have the staff resources to operate a 24- hour registration desk, guests do have 24/7 access to our security staff. If someone needs help, they may call for assistance. SHUTTLE SERVICE - The R-Line, Raleigh s FREE downtown circulator service has a pick-up location in front of eace College.
