Lodging can be costly near the medical center, so this information is being provided to assist you in finding a variety of quality discounted short term and long term housing options near the medical center. All rates are subject to availability and frequently change. Rates listed do not include tax. 7 UW Summer Guest Housing 2015 Residence Halls The University of Washington offers two different housing accommodations for UWMC patients, caregivers, and family in its newly built residence halls located on the west side of campus, closest to the UW Medical Center. These residence hall rooms include private restrooms, night stands, dressers, desk and chair, and feature wireless Internet. Bed linen, pillow, towels, soap, toilet paper, and drinking cups are also provided in each room. Guests from different conferences, both youth and adults, may share the same building, floor, and dining facilities. Online Reservation: To make reservations go to website below. For questions and to check availability, please contact the Conference Services Office at (206) or confhous@uw.edu. Mail or Fax Reservation Form: Print the form, complete the information, and send the form with payment to the Conference Services Office. If faxing the form, please do not mail in an additional copy. Cancelations and Refunds: All refund requests will incur a $20.00 (plus applicable tax) refund processing fee. Guests who cancel their reservation with the Conference Services Office three business days or more prior to their scheduled arrival date will receive a full refund (less the refund processing fee). Guests who cancel less than three business days prior to their arrival date forfeit the entire reservation deposit. If the Conference Services Office receives no 7

8 advance cancelation and a guest does not show, no refund will be made and the guest will forfeit the entire deposit or prepayment. More details on the check-in process will be provided after reservation is made. The front desk is staffed for check-ins 24 hours per day. Transportation and Parking: Parking: UW Transportation parking passes can be purchased at the W10 or Central Plaza Parking Garage gate house OR at Lander Hall on check-in. The parking garages are one two blocks from the residence halls. There is limited street parking and limited loading zone parking in front of the residence halls, and limited street parking on 12 th Ave. NE and NE 43 rd street. Cost: Monday Friday, $15 per day Saturday - $5 Sunday no charge Parking Maps: Parking: King County Metro Bus: It is a short ride on buses 65 or 75 going eastbound from the bus stop in front of Lander Hall (12 th Ave. NE & &NE Campus Pkwy) to the medical center stop at (Stevens and Garfield LN). Buses 31 and 32 go westbound from (Stevens Way and Garfield LN) to the (12th Ave. NE & NE Campus Pkw). This stop is across the street from Lander Hall. Guest needs to be able to walk from Stevens Way, through Health Sciences, to medical center - about a quarter of a mile.
