2K10 SHANGHAI - CHENGDU - CHONGQIN - SHENZHEN - HONG KONG Nov 11th - 20th, 2010 In the past few years, The CEO Clubs in China have grown much faster than their USA headquarters. Many friendships have been developed across the sea and today about 150 members of the USA CEO Clubs and 150 members of the CEO Clubs of China have exchanged visits. Many business relationships and joint ventures have developed because of this sharing between two cultures. Please see web sites: and for more information. 5 CITIES in 10 DAYS & 9 NIGHTS SCHEDULE ON PAGE 4 ceo clubs, inc. 15 Broad Street, # 1120, NYC Phone: Fax: registration@ceoclubs.org ceoclubs.org
2K10 REASONS TO JOIN THE CEO CLUBS IN CHINA pg 2 REASONS TO JOIN THE CEO CLUBS IN CHINA Clubs.!Share ideas with members from the China and USA Chapters of The CEO!Have a banquet dinner with the CEO Club members and government officials in four cities.!in Chengdu, enjoy shopping, bars and some of the best (and cheapest) foot massages in the East.!This is a unique trip to find bad assets in China, which are available for pennies on the dollars. Also, it will be a chance to have fun while you are making money.!your trip begins in Shanghai and ends in Hong Kong and everything is paid for 10 days and 9 nights.!special NOTE: you need single entry visas. Our group has been there over a dozen times before and we are well known in all of China. We have had enormous media coverage as the Chinese government wants to do business with America. We know the Mayors and our Chinese members know the businesses. Chinese CEOs are anxious to meet you as the USA has made it impossible for many of them to obtain Visa s to visit here. Yet, they are seeking American partners. In China, to do business successfully, you must first make friends, not only with the companies, but with the government and most of all the Mayors. Otherwise the business just doesn t happen profitably. It is a very simple but hard to follow principle for ready-fire-aim type American CEOs. The CEO CLUBS travel first class or as we say, one step above luxury. We are given police escorts, access to private communist only hotels and front page media coverage. We do business by day and play as tourists by night. Of the 850 CEOs who have come on past trips, all agree, it is the trip of a lifetime.
Citizens of America need a single entry visa, which is $75 and is best obtained by going to Google. There is no visa required to enter Hong Kong and you can get a China visa in Hong Kong in a few hours for more money. We will be in climates from north to south in November, which parallel Maine to Florida, so bring appropriate clothing. Bring an extra suitcase full of small gifts to exchange. You will need the extra suitcase on the way back. These fares, heavily subsidized by the Chinese government, are for two people sharing a room and coach class tickets. We also have a special first class option, which includes first class internal China tickets, private translators, airport security clearance, and hotel suites; if you are interested. You get your own flights to and from China and we do the rest. We need your airline flights to pick-you-up and your passport numbers for the hotels. We stay at five star hotels. We strongly advise getting a loaded China cell phone. You can call anywhere in China and the USA with this phone. We will give you the cell phone numbers of all other members on the trip. It is especially useful for partners, husbands/wives to stay in touch while in China. This phone number is the best way to have your USA friends call you. The phone can be recharged for heavy use with a credit card. The fee for the rental and charger is between $250 and $ When its noon in China (they have one time zone) it is midnight in New York. Remember this is China and they operate much differently than the USA. Please expect schedule changes. SUMMARY We need your photo and bio to put on our website and to translate and put on so business opportunities are optimized. Always keep your hotel room key with you, as a non- English speaking taxi drivers will get you back to the hotel. Most Chinese CEOs do not speak English and a small dictionary (conversion) can be useful. pg 3 SHANGHAI - CHENGDU - CHONGQIN - SHENZHEN - HONG KONG We like to make free phone calls from computer to computer. We will have Internet access at all locations. Consider reading Mancuso s China Picture Book before you land in China. Doing business in China is complicated. Making money in China is difficult. Many members drop out and rejoin the trip. Please inform us of these type changes, both planned and unplanned. We are here to find business opportunities first and have fun second. The schedule will change frequently to optimize these business opportunities.

Under construction in China now is an interconnected network of over thirty high speed train projects. It is the type of project that builds infrastructure and creates jobs and benefits everyone. The CEO CLUB is proud to be consultants to both the central governments Ministry of Railways and the largest high speed train manufacturer (China Railway Construction Corporation) with 250,000 employees. The Club is following up President Obama s recent China visit by advising on building a high speed train for Los Angeles to Las Vegas, non-stop, in 84 minutes. The trips from Chengdu to Chongqing will be less than 2 hours on a high speed train. It will let you see how cleverly the Chinese are growing their economy first hand and it will be the story you tell when you return to the USA. It is very impressive. We will be special guests coming and going of both our high speed train clients.
CHENGDU Chengdu is the capital of "Heavenly State" (Tian Fu Zhi Guo), habitat of giant pandas and city of cotton-rose hibiscus. Located in the west of Sichuan Basin and in the center of Chengdu Plain, Chengdu covers a total area of 12.3 thousand square kilometers (4,749 square miles) with a population of over 11 million. Benefitting from Dujiangyan Irrigation Project which was constructed in 256 B.C., Sichuan Province is reputed as "Tian Fu Zhi Guo", literally a place richly endowed with natural resources. Chengdu, as the capital, is extremely productive. The Min and Tuo Rivers, two branches of the Yangtze River, connected to forty other rivers, supply an irrigation area of more than 700 square kilometers ( square miles) with million kilowatts of water. Consisting of abundant mineral resources, the land is extremely fertile. In addition to its profound historical and cultural background featuring historic places of interest such as the Thatched Cottage of Du Fu, Wuhou Memorial Temple and Wenshu Monastery, etc, natural beauty abounds in surrounding areas such as in the Jiuzhaigou Scenic Area and Huang Long Valley (Yellow Dragon Valley). The natural habitat of giant pandas, Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Center, supports the world's only giant panda breeding and research base. Sampling the famous Sichuan cuisine is a must on a trip to Chengdu. Enjoying the food as well as the culture, shopping and having tea at a teahouse afford a deeper understanding of Chengdu. Improved land and airlines extending nationwide provide greater convenience. Chengdu is also the main inland access city to Tibet. pg 8
HONG KONG Enjoy the quintessential Hong Kong experiences of endless shopping, big-city nightlife and delicious dim sum, but save time for other activities. Ride a double-decker tram past neon signs in English and Cantonese. Board a harbor cruise or head up to Victoria Peak to see vistas of lush green mountains and skyscrapers lining the coast. Spend the day on Lantau Island or at Hong Kong Disneyland or Ocean Park. Relax on the beach. And don't forget to take in Hong Kong's spectacular night views. Hong Kong ( 香港 Heūng góng in Cantonese, Xiāng gǎng in Mandarin, either way meaning "fragrant harbor") is a place with multiple personalities, as a result of being Cantonese Chinese with a long-time British influence. Today, the former British colony is a major tourism destination for China s increasingly affluent population. It is also an important hub in the Chinese diaspora with global connections to many of the world s cities. It is a unique destination that has absorbed people and cultural influences from places as diverse as Vietnam and Vancouver. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China is much more than a harbor city. The traveler weary of its crowded streets may be tempted to describe it as Hong Kongcrete. Yet, this SAR with its cloudy mountains and rocky islands is mostly a rural landscape. Much of the countryside is classified as Country Park and, although 7 million people are never far away, it is possible to find pockets of wilderness that will reward the more intrepid tourist. Hong Kong has a subtropical climate with at least one season to match your comfort zone. Boasting one of the world s best airports, it is the ideal stopover for those who wish to travel deeper into the Orient. pg 9
CHONGQING Chongqing is a port city with the largest municipal area and population in China. It is situated in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River at the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers in southwest China. With an area of 82,400 square kilometers (31, 800 square miles), Chongqing shares borders with the provinces of Hubei, Hunan, Guizhou, Sichuan, and Shaanxi. Besides the Han who form the majority of its total population of 30.9 million, numerous ethnic groups reside in Chongqing, including Yi, Tibetan, Miao, Qiang, You and Tujia. pg 10 Since its founding 3,000 years ago, Chongqing has been called Jiangzhou, Yuzhou, and Gongzhou, before getting its present name nearly 800 years ago. Since the Qin Dynasty (221 BC-206 BC), many dynasties have set up administrative institutions that have endowed the city with brilliant cultures. Perched beside the Yangtze, the "Golden River," Chongqing symbolizes Yangtze River civilizations and is the cradle of Bayu culture. Today, Chongqing is a modern city, China's fourth municipality after Beijing, Shanghai, and Tianjin. Within its borders Chongqing encompasses a wealth of water reserves, mineral resources, dense forests, and abundant flora and fauna. The focal point of the unique Yangtze Three Gorges Dam, Chongqing is a tourist attraction as well as a commercial city. Chongqing attracts visitors from home and abroad for its cultural heritage and other tourist attractions. The city is the starting point for the Yangtze River Cruise, which explores the stunning scenery of the Three Gorges. Other attractions include the Dazu Rock Carvings, valuable works of art carved during the Ninth Century, Gold Buddhist Mountain, a rich repository of diverse animals and plants; and Fishing Town, one of three ancient battlefields in China. Ancient Ci Qi Kou village lures tourists to linger in its streets to buy handicraft souvenirs. Additionally, Chongqing is famous for its hot Sichuan cuisine and world-famous hotpot dishes. Street vendors as well as restaurants feature exciting spicy delicacies for the adventurers. Servicing western China, Chongqing provides convenient water, land, and air transportation. Hundreds of star-ranked hotels provide excellent facilities and services. Chongqing is ready to be the pilot in the Western China Development to usher in more investors and visitors.
pg 11 SHENZHEN Shenzhen is located in the southern portion of the Guangdong Province, on the eastern shore of the Pearl River Delta. Neighboring the Pearl River Delta and Hong Kong (located just south of Shenzhen), Shenzhen's location gives it a geographical advantage for economic development. In 1980, the first Special Economic Zone of China was built in Shenzhen. From then on, Shenzhen become a highlighted city of China, one known for its rapid economic growth. More than twenty years ago, Shenzhen just was a small fishing village called Baoan County. In 1979, it was renamed Shenzhen City. When the Special Economic Zone was built, the city was divided into six zones, four of which are located in the Special Economic Zone. While Shenzhen City does not have as many historical attractions as other famous cities in China, it has created a number of excellent theme parks which entertain while teaching visitors about China and the world. Splendid China and China Folk Culture Villages introduce visitors to China's long history and varied cultures, while Window of the World will take you to every corner of the world in one day. Additionally, if you want to make your stay even more luxurious, visit Happy Valley, the largest of Shenzhen City's theme parks, situated on a picturesque coastline. Come enjoy the coastal view, the theme parks, the city, and especially the people of Shenzhen City. While Shenzhen has had to overcome a number of obstacles resulting from this population swell, the city has also benefitted from the increased diversity. Workers come to Shenzhen from almost every part of china, bringing with them their local traditions and cuisines. Visitors are able to sample foods from each of China's famous eight cuisines. Local dishes are also worth trying - Kejia is one of the many dishes that should not be missed.
SHANGHAI Shanghai, Hu for short, is a renowned international metropolis drawing more and more attention from all over the world. Situated on the estuary of Yangtze River, Shanghai serves as the most influential economic, financial, international trade, cultural, science and technology center in East China. Also it is a popular tourist destination which is ideal for visitors to feel the impulse of the modern development of China. pg 12 Beside the modernization, the multi-cultural feature endows Shanghai with unique glamour. Here one can find the perfect blend of cultures, including the modern and the traditional as well as the western and the oriental. New skyscrapers and old Shikumen lanes together draw the skyline of Shanghai. Western customs and Chinese traditions jointly form the interesting Shanghai culture, which make your stay in the city truly memorable.
