1 ACA Symposium Switzerland - location General situation: Switzerland is a verry pricey country. In that way we try to find out the best way to keep the symposium as cheap as possible. Even it is difficult to find close to rivers, which do bring water, at this time of year a cabin or cheap hotel (approx US$60/night/p). Camping and tenting is not a problem, but we will have at this time of year temperatures around 15 degrees Celsius and even sometimes snowfall. Rivers, which do bring water at this time of this year, are far into the mountains, bringing logistic problems. So we decided to do make a good mix for all. Due to the different guest arriving from cross Europe, we have set the location to a central point within Switzerland and close of central highways. Location overview: The ACA Symposium will be held close to the lake of Zurich. The address is: Steinacherstrasse / Unterortstrasse, Wädenswil or for the GPS ,68 N / ,68 E Location building: Small and simple boy scout cabin with kitchen, showers and restrooms. Fire place outside, dry room for clothes 2 simple sleeping rooms, one for men and one for women with woolblanket. Yes we do stay all in the same room. 3 common rooms for workshops 1 big barn for workshops Park places outside for 4 campervans You can walk 5 minutes to find a place in the forest for sleeping, away from snoring You can use the barn for your hammok Do bring your own sleepingbag with Costs: For all, incl, campervans: - 15 US$ /pp/ per night - 8 US$ general for every one With a group of participants of 20 Alternative sleeping possibilities: 5 minutes car driving from Symposium: 3 to 4 star, Hotel Halbinsel AU, direct on the lake, verry beautiful, Single rooms: 150 US$, double 250 US$, inkl breakfast 15 minutes car driving from Symposium: Youth hostel Richterswil, direct on the lake, verry nice, Rooms starting from US$35 and up.

2 By car From Zurich, Basel: take the Highway 3 direction Chur, get out at the exit Wädenswil From Munich: take the hwy 13 to Chur, then at Sargans take the HWY 3 to Zurich, get out at the exit Wädenswil. 4 By plain from all cities to Zurich Airport At the Airport, take the S2 leaving into the direction Ziegelbrücke from platform 3. stay for approx 42 minutes in the train and get out at the village/station Wädenswil. Then see further down. By plane from all cities to Basel Airport At the Airport, take the busshuttle to the train station Basel SBB. From there take a IC oder EC direct to Zurich. The ride takes approx 1 h 30 min. Then see further down. By public transportation from Zurich Central Train Station: From Zurich Central station: Take the train S2 leaving into the direction Ziegelbrücke from platform 52 Or The train S8 leaving into the direction Pfäffikon (Sz) from platform 53 The train ride takes approx 23 to 28 minutes Get out at the village/station Wädenswil, from there Take the local bus no 122 or 124 leaving gate B, direction hintere Rüti, after 7 min get out at the station Moosacher and walk 8 min up the street.
