2 Background: Hotels focus on genera1ng bookings and revenue, preferably through direct channels for rooms and restaurants. Experience shows that more informa5on, presented in a user-friendly format, is an important contributor to visitors comple1ng bookings online. And as dining is becoming increasingly important to travelers of all types, F&B informa1on should be included. Increasingly sophis1cated and demanding visitors expect to see detailed informa5on, for all dining op5ons online, not only restaurants, but bars, lounges, and in-room dining, when planning their travel. Experience and visitor numbers show that menus for all types of venues are consulted intensely. In an effort to increase revenues and to agract local diners, hotel venues need to compete with local establishments online. They rou1nely publish all of their menus. Focusing on the complexi1es of selling rooms online, F&B projects are frequently not priori5zed and fall outside of the exper1se of hotel IT and ecommerce departments.

3 Current Situa5on with regard to online menus: Hotels face a number of issues with the management and presenta1on of menus. Frequently hotels use mul1ple menu PDFs that require separate ac1ons for viewing do not include all the menus they offer (some do not include menus at all) have out of date content on display show inconsistent menus across their websites & social media (especially when hotels have mul1ple channels Group, Brand, Hotel, Restaurant, Facebook, tablets, friendly third party websites, etc.) experience inefficiencies in menu update process do not have op1mized display on mobile devices

9 Company Background: menumodo is a privately owned and self-funded company, started in California. The company is currently reloca1ng its opera1ons to Europe. menumodo is founded on decades of experience in travel and distribu1on, and on research and observa1on of the online presenta1on of F&B offerings in hotels and the complexi1es involved in managing menu content. Ini1ally designed for restaurants, the company pivoted in 2013 to adapt its system to the more complex requirements of interna1onal hotel groups, focused on improving the visitor experience, and to op1mize the process of managing menus. The system was developed and con1nues to evolve in close coopera1on with customers and in line with industry and market developments. menumodo offers hotels immediate solu1ons and a path to become increasingly sophis1cated, according to each customer s requirements, priori1es, and 1meline. To op1mize the use of the exis1ng system and to generate revenue without engaging commercial resources, partnership agreements are being nego1ated to distribute through en11es with access to large numbers of restaurants. Various other side projects are being worked on to leverage the system for use on restaurant lis1ng sites, DMO websites and in concierge applica1ons for hotels.

10 menumodo Marke5ng & Sales: menumodo has been successful in signing a number of hotel groups, and several large contracts are under nego1a1on. menumodo is provided on an annual subscrip1on basis. Pricing depends on volume commitment, billing modali1es, property size and customer support arrangements. Bulk licensing pricing is also available, and custom developments can be provided. next steps: Currently the system is being enhanced to cover the en1re lifecycle of menus from data capture to prin1ng. This will provide more of the opera1onal efficiencies hotels are seeking.
