1 The DJ We at Juliana s pride ourselves in our continued ability to attract some the best DJ s in the world high-quality entertainers that are consequently available for your venue Entertainment Services Our DJ portfolio comprises a selection of technically brilliant, experienced, confident DJ s who have the ability to deal with a broad customer base and maximise club or bars potential! In accordance with your brief and requirements, Juliana s will recommend a suitable candidate to handle all music matters for your venue. Once assigned, they will become responsible for not only providing quality entertainment, but the day to day operation and light maintenance of equipment. If desired, their role can expand into promotion of the venue, working closely with your marketing team to achieve heightened interest and maximum attendance. We remain in constant contact with all our DJ s, providing our London and Dubai offices with a constant update of changes, events and requirements; enabling us to track performance of the venue and offer advice to suit. It is often found that changing your DJ every three to six months helps to ensure that the venue remains fresh; this is of course entirely up to you, and we will ensure that any transition is carried out seamlessly. Following initial placement, contract duration can be reviewed and if preferred a candidate can remain in your venue as long as desired. Entertainment Services Since their introduction several years ago, the Music Host has been well received by a variety of Juliana s clients. Generally operating in a restaurant environment, the Music Host can be defined as a professional music programmer, who uses their skills to gauge atmosphere and control levels of music and lighting. More often a Music Host is female, however all individuals are professional in appearance, confident and have the diplomacy required to ensure your guests feel comfortable. They possess not only musical programming abilities, but additional marketing and promotional support-skills that can aid your staff in bringing your venue to the fore. Ultimately, the Music Host will become a familiar face in your venue playing requests and a variety of mood music, depending perhaps on the environment you wish to create. CV s are available on request, and in accordance with your brief and requirements, Juliana s will select and recommend suitable candidates for your venue. Additionally, a Music Host can be supplied together with a regular monthly supply of music to maintain a fresh, competitive advantage.

3 Overview Juliana s have an extensive portfolio of experienced DJ s covering many different music disciplines giving us the ability to supply you with a DJ matching your exact requirements. Please find as follows a description of the different DJ services we can provide. The Personality DJ The role of the personality DJ is to vocally entertain your crowd using microphone techniques to provide a fun, lively atmosphere these individuals become the face of your venue, becoming familiar with the likes and dislikes of the audience and tailoring music played to suit. Personality DJ s will play a variety of musical styles maximising the scope of your venue; therefore commercial music, dance, R&B and local sounds will all be played, as required. Juliana s offer the services of experienced personality DJ s, with a minimum of 2 years experience gained in venues across the UK. Our DJ s will also work with your team to promote the venue. They become responsible for development of the club image and publicity. These individuals have experience in event planning, leaving you to concentrate on important operational matters. Juliana s DJ Services Juliana s appoint these DJ s as ambassadors to your venue. They are usually placed on an extended term to develop the business over time with support from the operations teams in London or Dubai. Contract periods are normally based on a minimum of 3 months, renewable if all parties are satisfied with performance, etc. The Dance/R&B Mix DJ The Mix DJ is often referred to as a Head-down DJ, who s talent lies in the ability to seamlessly blend music together, rather than using microphone techniques as the personality DJ (above). Juliana s have been responsible for the placement of professional dance music and R&B orientated mixing DJ s for many years; from Juliana s Tokyo to The Premiere at the Hyatt Regency Dubai. These artistes specialise in the latest world dance music releases, and have the ability to combine genre classics with local tunes as required. Juliana's Club DJ s will have always had a minimum of 2 years on the UK club scene in varying venues and all DJ s must demonstrate their ability practically before being considered. In so doing, you are always assured a DJ who has excellent technical ability, mixing skills and proficiency in music programming. Most of our Dj s have worked abroad and are therefore familiar with the international club scene.

4 The Chillout DJ The popularity of Chillout music is increasing steadily, and many venues have begun to devote entire nights to the relaxed style. The Chillout DJ will play a selection of down-tempo, relaxing, melodic tunes that provide a tranquil setting ideally suited to a laid-back environment, such as in restaurants or the early start to a club night. Juliana's Chillout DJ s will programme their playlist to suit the audience of the evening. As with all our DJ s, Chillout DJ s are required to have a minimum of 2 years on the UK club scene in different venues. The music selection will cover styles from around the world including popular English and American chillout remixes through to music from Indian, Arabic, Balearic, etc. genres. Female DJ s Juliana s DJ Services Juliana s can provide the services of female DJ s who will act as personalities of the venue, generating regular return customers. Such individuals are placed depending on the style concerned; whether it be for a fun pub, bar or nightclub. Music is naturally essential to their placement therefore we provide the appropriate updates accordingly. The Music Host Juliana s recognise that a traditional DJ is not often suitable for the desired atmosphere. For such situations Juliana's can provide the services of highly presentable music host (often female). A Music Host can be defined as public relations for the venue and will spend a proportion of their time mingling with guests to promote membership (where applicable). Their responsibilities are also focused towards music programming for the venue whether it be fine dining or a lounge bar. A dual role in such capacity thus adds to value for money. Fees The monthly fees are based on individual requirements. Fee excludes travel, board and accommodation which should be arranged accordingly. 5 Music As important as an fresh DJ talent in your venue is a regular supply of new music. As part of an overall package, Juliana s will carefully select music appropriate to your venue and desired music policy. Juliana s has proven its ability to control music policies working with the DJ and club management, ensuring that music remains fresh and up-to-date resulting in long term success for some of the worlds top nightclubs. We have access to all the major suppliers for recorded material in CD and vinyl format. Additionally we are able to supply pre-release Promo CDs allowing your DJ to maintain the tradition of you heard it here first. We can supply a varied range of monthly updates in line with the club s determined music policy. Our music co-ordinator will be responsible for all material held in your music library, which will be itemised and checked during each DJ changeover. Juliana's has significant buying power with its suppliers, given that we ship music to all of our serviced contracts worldwide. Therefore we feel that it is only fair that we pass this privilege on to our new clients. Juliana s DJ Services Music packages are optional as most DJs now carry a full compliment and provided they have access to the internet can update accordingly. Visual Media More and more nightclubs are adopting Visual Music Systems as a means of projecting images and music during a club night. Juliana s can supply DVD or Video format music for these systems the obvious advantage being that the DJ has the ability to further enhance a club night by providing the visual stimulation of an artiste s actual music video as part of a mix selection. DVDs are available each month in various formats; some feature individual pre-release music videos, others feature mixed videos (in which music videos are blended seamlessly together), whilst others combine classic tunes with remixes of new music. Aside from music videos we are able to supply moving image DVDs, that provide attractive fractal-style moving visual images that will play continuously during an evening. Visual media can be included in your monthly music quota, replacing CD albums as appropriate.
