With Christmas parades, festive events and plenty of nature trails to get you out and about, Killarney has a range of activities to suit all needs and is guaranteed to have something for everyone this Christmas season. ADVENTURE TRAILS With incredibly beautiful surroundings, and with the Killarney National Park on the doorstep of the Killarney Plaza Hotel, you are guaranteed plenty of options for hiking, walking and cycling to keep you fit and active this December. Hiking Cardiac Hill & Torc Mountain With its winding path and spectacular views, Cardiac Hill is definitely worth a ramble. Not for the faint hearted, the trail is highly recommended if you are looking for a challenge, while your hard work will be rewarded with amazing views of the lakes when you reach the top. If you want to do a longer hike, try Torc Mountain. Your journey to reach the top of Torc will allow you to take in breath-taking views of the famous Torc Waterfall and lakes along the way. 17. Parades begin on the 24th November and follow every Saturday, starting at 6pm. Make sure you get the best view of the parades just outside Café du Parc, or from inside The Tan Yard where the whole family can enjoy a festive meal while taking in all the action.
