1 Welcome to 'Southfields' a large, elegant, detached Victorian property formerly a wine merchants house. Located in Ranmoor, a premier residential and conservation area of Shefffield. It is within easy reach of Sheffield City centre, Universities, the commercial centre and the beautiful Peak District National Park. The local amenities, together with the excellent period accommodation, make it a very desirable location for guests staying in the area for business or leisure. 'Southfields' has been sensitively renovated to maintain the ambience of a grand Victorian dwelling, enjoys wonderful views of the picturesque and delightful Mayfield valley. The area offers not only magnificent scenery, but also an abundance of diverse recreational opportunities, such as walking, climbing, fishing, golf, pony trekking, biking, etc. Within 30 minutes of 'Southfields' there are numerous places of outstanding historical, geographical and cultural interest. For example, Chatsworth House and Estate, Bakewell, Haddon Hall, Castleton, Froggett and Stanage Edge. It is also within walking distance of several local pubs, wine bars and restaurants. Meadowhall shopping centre and the Sheffield Arena are a 15 min drive away, or by Supertram which can be caught at nearby Broomhill. 4 Guest Amenities In addition to the well appointed bedrooms, guests are welcome to enjoy the facilities of our homely snug, drawing room, gardens and patio with outdoor eating area. The Snug A comfortable room with TV and CD/Radio, for guests to relax in. Breakfast Room Full English, Continental or daily specials are served in the Breakfast Room. 6 Self Catering In addition to providing guests with bed & breakfast accommodation 'Southfields' can also offer a self catering option. Ideal for people relocating to Sheffield, temporary accommodation whilst 'house hunting' or people just requiring short term leases. All of our rooms are available on a self catering basis on short term leases, or if required part weeks for professionals who are visiting Sheffield during the week, but do not require accommodation at the weekends. Guests have free use of kitchen facilities and space is provided in fridges and storage cupboards. The breakfast room and snug are also available for dining and relaxation. We also have a self contained, one or two bedroomed apartment with private kitchen and bathroom available for medium or short term leases. Kitchen Bathroom Diner/Kitchen All linen and utilities are included, with prior arrangement a kitchen starter hamper can be ordered, ensuring you have essential items available on your arrival.
