1 Package organized by students of high School Enrico Mattei Cerveteri (Rome), for foreign and italian students, in partnership with Ministry for Education, City of Cerveteri and Tour Operator Caere Viaggi of Cerveteri Virgilio narrates that in the river of the Ceriti people, near the wood consecrated to the god Sylvanus, among the tombs of the ancestors, Enea received the sacred arms from his divine mother Venus. That legendary place, rich in water and iron, is probably hidden under the southern walls of the ancient city of Caere, extending on an elevated plain, impregnable since protected by steep precipices of rock and by strong walls and at least ten town gates. Other roads led to the rich interior land and to the coastal towns of Alsium, Pyrgi and Punicum (the three ports of Caere) from where many ships sailed upon unknown seas bringing back wealth and knowledge. It is precisely here, where we intend to find the Traces of the Etruscans. 4 DAY 2: A WINDOW ON THE ETRUSCAN WORLD Rediscover the history of the monuments left behind by the Etruscans Educational activity offered by FAEM foundation for the conservation and promotion of the archaeological heritage of Cerveteri. Demonstration and practical exercise near the necropolis of La Banditaccia or other nearby archaeological site, by simulating the bringing to light of the archaeological monuments, formerly excavated during the first years of the last century.
