20 User Comments (2) Routes with the highest percentages of positive comments: Mont-Blanc (French side) Fréjus (Italian side) Possible explanations are: Differences in radio coverage (e.g. a single frequency on FM from Paris and Northern France to Mont-Blanc) SAPRR provision of radio information about HANNIBAL during the survey days (in French and English) Differences in VMS provision The incomplete state of the motorways in the Maurienne valley (French side of Fréjus) and in the Aosta valley (Italian side of Mont-Blanc) HANNIBAL: TTCM8 Results Presentation, 9th March Slide 20

23 Conclusions (User Surveys) Where there were incidents, 47% of users were informed about them (rising to over 50% on the French side of Mont-Blanc and the Italian side of Fréjus) Overall response to the project was favourable, with a majority of comments being positive on the French side of Mont- Blanc and both sides of Fréjus HANNIBAL: TTCM8 Results Presentation, 9th March Slide 23
24 Conclusions (Other Aspects) Data Exchange: in operation (first time there has been cross-border data exchange using DATEX-Net) continuing beyond the demonstration period Surveys of Operators and Traffic Managers: initial analysis has shown a positive response, i.e. the system is generally felt to be relevant, works well in practice, improves information provision and has led to closer co-operation between motorway companies HANNIBAL: TTCM8 Results Presentation, 9th March Slide 24
