3 VENUE AND DATE: MTECH International Conference will be held at Hotel Kolovare in Zadar, from 4-7 October, HOTEL KOLOVARE is located near historical sights of the ancient city of Zadar. City of Zadar is know as cultural, economic and administrative center of Northern Dalmatia. LOCATION OF CONFERENCE HOTEL: Hotel KOLOVARE is located at Bože Peričića 14, Zadar, Croatia HOW TO REACH THE CONFERENCE HOTEL: BY PLANE: The Zadar airport - Zemunik (ZAD) is very well connected to bigger towns of Croatia and Europe and it is situated only 20 minutes by car far from Zadar. BY CAR: You can come to Zadar from several directions and the highway A1, route Zagreb - Split, is the quickest and best of all. The best exit from the highway is at the knot Zadar east or Zadar west. If you are coming from Rijeka, you can take the Adria road - route D8. BY FERRY: If you are coming from the direction of Italy, the shortest possible route is through Ancona by ferry to Zadar. BY BUS: Zadar is the centre of north Dalmatia and very well connected with other Croatian and bigger European towns. 9 INVITED LECTURERS Dr. rer. nat. Johann Wilhelm Erning Works at Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und prüfung (BAM), Berlin, Germany. Studied Chemistry in Cologne and Bonn. Participation in various committees at EFC, CEN, DIN, DVGW Prof.dr.sc. Dragutin Lisjak Professor Dragutin Lisjak received his doctorate at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture In Zagreb at the Department of Materials with the topic "Application of Artificial Intelligence Method in materials selection". For many years he has been dealing with materials selection problems and Material databases. He was a leader and participant in several scientific Projects related to the mentioned issue. Current areas of his interest are machine learning methods, evolutionary algorithms, multi-criteria decision-making and optimization business processes. Dr. Imre Felde Dr. Imre Felde was born in Hungary. He achieved his PhD in Materials Science and Technology from Miskolc University (Hungary) in From to he was head of department and from 2008 to CEO of Bay Zoltán Foundation for Applied Research, Budapest, Hungary. From he is Vice Dean of Faculty of Informatics, Obuda Univesity in Budapest, hungary. He has published more than 100 scientific and technical papers in field of engineering, computer science, mathemathics and process modeling. He is member of editorial board of Strojniski Vestnik-Journal of Mechanical Engineering, International Journal of Microstructure and Mechanical Properties, Surface Engineering and Hindawi Advanced Materials Science and Technology. Dr. Ing. Mato Pavlović Born in 1971, is a researcher with over 10 years of experience in the field of nondestructive testing, especially ultrasonic testing (UT), working at the BAM in Berlin, Germany. His current research interests include the theoretical modeling and simulation, and reliability analysis of UT systems. His work concentrates on the investigation of UT systems for the automated inspection of high-speed train axles. Furthermore, he looks into the advanced phased-array UT system used for the inspection of canisters for the permanent storage of spent nuclear fuel. He also worked for German Society for Non-destructive Testing (DGZfP) - Education and Training Ltd. as an NDT reliability advisor, developing guidelines for the reliability evaluation of NDT systems. Prior to joining BAM, he worked as a research and development engineer at Soko Z.I. developing a flight simulator. Mato Pavlovic has a degree (Dipl.-Ing) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Zagreb, Croatia and a postgraduate degree (Dr.-Ing.) in Material Science from the University of Saarland, Germany.

LUNCHES AND COFFEE BREAKS: Lunches will be served during the conference days at the hotel restaurant. Coffee breaks will be served at the conference Meeting room II according to the program timetable. TECHNICIANS SERVICE: All speakers should check and upload their presentations at the Registration desk (in the lobby of Kolovare Hotel) at the latest in the breaks just before the relevant session. Technical support will be at your service during the opening hours of the Registration desk. DURATION OF PRESENTATION: Due to the tight presentation schedule each participant selected for presentation is kindly asked to present his work in 12 min. Additional 3 min is left for the discussion of each presentation. All speakers are kindly asked to prepare the presentation in English in a Power Point format and to save it on a USB memory device. POSTER PRESENTATION: Posters will be exhibited in the conference Meeting room II. All authors participating at MTECH 2017 with posters have to print posters and bring them to the conference. The Conference Secretariat will provide pins, glue tape and assistance for posters set-up. Poster size should be 70 cm x 100 cm (that is width x height; portrait format). Organizing Committee is unfortunately not able to offer a Poster Printing Service. 12 ZADAR CITY TOUR & WINERY ŠKAULJ: Date and time: Thursday, 05 th October, For those eager to discover beauties of Zadar, a City Tour will be organized starting from Hotel Kolovare. After the Tour a transfer via Coaches is planed to Winery Škaulj, where the traditional dinner and tasting of rewarded wines will be held. EXCURSION TO KORNATI NATIONAL PARK: Date and time: Saturday, 07 th October, To make your stay in Zadar pleasant, we have planned an additional social event. Please consider joining us during the full day excursion, which will start from the hotel reception, on Kornati National Park. These islands are the most indented group of islands in the European Mediterranean of the most exceptional landscape value which was given the status of a national park in More than three quarters of the Park s surface belong to the sea, whereas the land part consists of 89 islands, islets and reefs in the total surface of 50 km 2.
