7 1. Kinotage UA Stuttgart On th April the first Ukrainian Film Days Kinotage UA were organized in Stuttgart. During these two days 15 feature and documentary films of the contemporary Ukrainian moviemakers were screened. Among the guests were the consul general Yuriy Yarmilko and the consul Dmytro Shevchenko from the General Consulate of Ukraine in Munich, the famous German human rights activist and member of the Bundestag from 1983 to 2017 Marieluise Beck, the head of the initiative KrymSOS Tamila Tasheva, the director of TABOR Production Maxim Nakonechnyi, the director of the film MYTH Leonid Kanter and the producer Katheryna Misina. In addition to film screenings and meetings with the production teams, the event also included the discussion with Marieluise Beck, MdB a.d., Zentrum Liberale Moderne, and Tamila Tasheva, Bürgerinitiative KrymSOS. The guests of the film days had the opportunity to learn more about Oleg Sentsov and the difficult human rights situation in Crimea. The event was funded by House of Resources Stuttgart. Together with the migrants associations, the museum organized a multicultural event with a number of art, music and theater performances. UAKS e.v. brought the Petrykivka exhibition and workshops to Stuttgart. With this exhibition we wanted to show that Ukrainians have their own traditional culture, which they cultuvate and want to maintain. Petrykivka reflects the soul of Ukraine, and in 2013 it has been listed as an immaterial UNESCO Heritage. 11 Sommerfestival der Kulturen & Tag der Kulturen, Stuttgart Sommerfestival der Kulturen and Tag der Kulturen are the biggest cultural festivals in the southern Germany. More than visitors come to enjoy the events, to taste the traditional dishes of different cultures, to get informed about other countires traditions. Due to UAKS e.v. Ukraine was presented at those festivals already for the second time. Thousands of people visited our ukrainian booths, enjoyed the ukrainian specialities and got a lot of knowledge about Ukrainian traditions. 17 Help Ukraine In December 2018 we organised a big Christmas campaign for the children of the Kharkiv orphanage No 3. It has become already a tradition to end up the year with such a charity campaign. 17
