1 1. ORGANIZATION The course is being organized by the Central Bank of The Bahamas (CBOB) and the Association of Supervisors of Banks of the Americas (ASBA). 2. Request your training coordinator an access account for the Activities Manager at the following asba@asbasupervision.org 2. Once you have a username and password, access the Activities Manager through the following link 3. Complete your profile and personal information. 4. Make your application to the selected course during the registration period. 5. For more information, download the User s Manual from the Activities Calendar in the Association s webpage. 4. RESERVATION PROCEDURES Hotel and flight bookings, obtaining an entry visa, as well as any vaccinations whenever required, are responsibility of each participant. 1

3 (Please note: There are no special rates for the Holiday Inn Express and the Courtyard Marriot hotels and a taxi cab will be needed to move between these hotels and the British Colonial Hilton Nassau and that the average taxi cab fee is $12 per trip and $24 per day roundtrip). 6. TRANSPORTATION Private transportation, complimentary of the Central Bank of The Bahamas will meet you at the airport and transport you to the hotel. This is a roundtrip arrangement and will be available again for your departure. An employee of the transportation service will be holding a card with your name and/or the name of the seminar, therefore your are asked to produce proper identification (your passport will be sufficient). In order to facilitate our planning, please submit your travel intinerary to Ms. Ingrid M. Lloyd at imlloyd@centralbankbahamas.com by 19 th February, WEATHER During the week of the course, temperatures in Nassau, will range between 82 F maximum and 65 F minimum. We recommend that you bring along a sweater to the event; there is a cold front during this period. There is also a beach at the hotel for those who wish to take in a morning or afternoon swim. Swimsuits are required. 8. VISA Bahamian Visa: No Bahamian Visa is required from any of the member countries, but for those travelling the Unites States, a U.S. Visa is required. Customs and Immigration Arrival: Upon arring in Nassau, The Bahamas, all visitors must fill and sign an Immigration form. The Immigration Officer will return a portion of the form to you, which you are to secure for your departurn. Departure: Departures to the Unites States must go through U.S. Customs & Immigration pre-clearance at Lynden Pindling Airport, Nassau, The Bahamas. 3

4 9. CURRENCY The Bahamian dollar is on par with the U.S. dollar and both are widely accepted. U.S. coins are accepted as well. For those needing conversion, there are a few commercial banks Scotiabank (Bahamas) Limited, RBC Royal Bank (Bahamas) Ltd and FirstCaribbean Int'l Bank (Bahamas) Ltd," which are located within a walking distance from the hotel and are opened Mondays to Thursdays, 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 10. DRESS CODE The dress code for the opening and closure is formal. The rest of the days, business casual attire is permitted (jeans and tennis shoes are not allowed). 11. SOCIAL EVENT A farewell dinner is planned for 1 st March, The information will be captured in your agenda. 12. LANGUAGE The official language for the course is English. No simultaneous interpretation service will be available during the sessions. 4
