From the top of Cun Mountain, one can admire the superb panorama of Mai Chau surrounded by a green valley and stilt houses. Many minorities, including the Thai ethnic group, live in Mai Chau. The beautiful scenery of Mai Chau attracts many tourists. The village, nestled between tow towering cliffs and surrounded by emarald green paddies, is an enchanting sight as you wind down the cliff side. Mai Chau itself presents an idyllic rural valley that could easily charm you into staying longer than intended. Mai Chau is well known for its natural beauty and it has long been famous for eco tourism Coming to Mai Chau, tourists will be warmly welcomed by the picturesque scenery of Mai Chau lying in a green valley of paddy fields dotted with rows of stilt houses Tourists especially enjoy the minority specialty dishes including rice cooked in bamboo and grilled meat. They also enjoy watching traditional dancing, music performances (bronze, drums, gongs), and Thai minority singing and dancing. The remote minority villages are attractive sites for tourists. The silt houses are built about 1.5m above the ground, made from hard wood. Touists are invited to wash their legs before going up stairs, floors are made from bamboo or wooden panels, roof is covered with coconut leaves. a handle loom is placed in front of every house for young girls to practise weaving 1

5 Day 2: Hanoi MaiChau 8.00: We pick you up at your hotel and depart to Hoa Binh. You will pass spectacular scenery along the way and spend the day exploring local villages and enjoying the hospitality of the Ban Lac people, distant relatives of tribes found in Thailand and Laos. You will have lunch in the village with the locals : After an afternoon hike across a gorgeous valley passing through rice fields and minority villages, you will retire to Mai Chau for an evening of traditional dance and wine. Day 3: Mai Chau Hanoi 8.00: After breakfast in Ban Lac village, we depart Mai Chau for Hanoi. On the way, you will visit a traditional village in Ha Dong town where you can view the silk craftspeople working at their traditional craft and perhaps, pick up some bargains 16.00: Return to Hanoi End of the tour. 1. 6 Day 4: Hanoi - Halong Halong Bay is one of the world's natural wonders and is the most beautiful tourist destination of Vietnam. Majestic and mysterious, inspiring and imperious: words alone cannot do justice to the natural wonder that is Halong Bay. Imagine 3000 or more incredible islands rising from the emerald waters of the Gulf of Tonkin and you have a vision of breathtaking beauty. Halong Bay is pure art, a priceless collection of unfinished sculptures hewn from the hand of nature. Viewed from above, Hạ Long Bay looks like an extremely vivid huge drawing. This is a wonderful and skilful masterpiece of the Creation and of nature that turns thousands of dumb soulless stone islands into fantastic sculptural and artistic works of various graceful shapes, both familiar and strange to human beings. Thousands of islands emerging uneven in the fanciful waves look strong and magnificent but also mild and vivid. Halong Bay is the stuff of myths and naturally the Vietnamese have concocted one. Halong translates as where the dragon descends into the sea. Legend has it that the islands of Halong Bay were created by a great dragon that lived in the mountains. As it charged towards the coast, its flailing tail gouged out valleys and crevasses. When it finally plunged into the sea, the area filled with water, leaving only the pinnacles visible 6
