7 Übertrag 60 6 Read the text about stress. Are the statements right or wrong? Tick the appropriate column. 14 tress Everybody feels stressed sometimes. ometimes stress is positive and can happen if people are happy and excited, like when they win a prize. But people also feel stress if they are nervous, worried or afraid. A little stress is normal and healthy. But too much stress can be very bad, especially for young people. When someone is stressed, changes happen in their body and mind. Their heart beats faster and they start to sweat and feel nervous. If people are stressed for a long time, their bodies become weak and less able to fight illness. tressed people, and especially young ones, are more likely to smoke, drink alcohol, take drugs and even kill themselves. Therefore really bad stress needs medical attention, and the proper medical attention works wonders. This is good news, because teens today are more stressed than ever. A survey in the U revealed that one in three teenagers feels stressed every day. The biggest cause of stress is pressure from family and friends. And the biggest pressure on the teenagers is to get good marks at school. right wrong 1. tress can be caused by positive or negative experiences. 2. tress can be good for the body, too. 3. tressed people usually become alcohol and drug addicts. 4. There is no medical treatment against stress. 5. A survey showed that most teenagers feel stressed daily. 6. Many teenagers feel stressed by their family. 7. The main cause of stress for people is the pressure from school. Übertrag 74 Pos. 4.1, Fremdsprache Englisch schriftlich, erie 5/5 eite 5
8 Übertrag 74 7 The people below all want to spend their holidays camping in the UK. On the right there are descriptions of eight campsites. Choose the most suitable campsite (A-H) for the following people (1-5) and write the correct letter (A-H) into the box Andy and Ellen are students. They want a cheap holiday, swimming and sunbathing, with some nightlife. They want to stay away from busy towns. 2. ue and Tim would like a relaxing holiday at a quiet campsite with beautiful scenery. They both like swimming and want to learn other water sports. They don t want to cook every day. 3. Mick and amie are interested in visiting historic buildings. Their eight-year-old son likes looking after animals and playing on the beach. 4. Kathy enjoys walking in the countryside and wants to try climbing in a group. As she will be away from the campsite most of the day, she needs to buy food to take with her. 5. Ken s family wants a seaside campsite where the children, aged five and eight, can join in organised activities, while the parents go walking in the countryside. A Barton Campsite This campsite is in a peaceful location, within minutes of a safe, sandy beach, and an hour from a pretty market town. Inland, there are castles and churches to visit. Barton Camping offers a swimming pool and a supermarket. C Verbeer Manor Camping Verbeer Camping has beaches, caves and islands to explore a short distance away. There is a lake for fishing and children can feed the ducks. The swimming pool has exciting waterslides. Verbeer has an ice-cream café and juice bar on-site. E Cofton Country Holidays Definitely an excellent holiday spot for the sporty: Cofton Country offers a swimming pool, bike hire and mountain walks led by experienced guides. The area is a dream for nature lovers with forest and wildlife. A snackbar and a small supermarket are on-site. Dining facilities at several nearby hotels. G Warcombe Farm Camping This newly-opened campsite is located next to clean beaches with caves and rock pools to explore. unbathers can hire chairs for a small charge. Attractions include old castles, churches and pretty fishing villages. The campsite farm welcomes visitors, who can help with the cows, chickens and sheep. Fresh farm food is also on sale here. However, there are few cultural attractions and little choice of evening entertainment. D Oakdown Campsite Popular with couples and families with children, Oakdown is a lively campsite all year round. An evening bus service goes to the nearby town with its many bars and restaurants. H Parkside Holiday Village This is a reasonablypriced campsite with superb beaches nearby.
