1 NOVMBR 2008 Peninsula Wilderness Club meets on the second Monday of every month at 7 pm at the Kitsap Unitarian Universalist Fellowship on Perry Avenue in ast Bremerton. The public is cordially invited. Sailing the World Monday, November 10, 7 pm Presented by: Paul Lutus In 1988, Paul Lutus cast off his lines and began an around-the-world solo sail in a 31-foot boat. For the next four years, Paul visited 22 countries, experienced storms and pirates, and logged 30,000 miles across the world's oceans. Paul says, "When I started sailing, I was afraid of getting too far from shore. But by the time I completed my journey four years later, I had completely changed I realized the safest place to be was as far from land as I could get. I found myself hoping I could just sail forever and never arrive at the next port of call." To learn more about Paul s adventures, check out his website: Photos courtesy of Paul Lutus

Seigler on 6th is located at 6th and Pacific, across the street from the Norm Dicks Building and on the same block as the Post Office. I was peering through the window of the shop early one Saturday morning when one of the employees came by, walking his dog. He unlocked the door and invited me in to check the place out, even though the shop wasn t scheduled to open for a few more hours. The folks at Seigler on 6th hope their shop will become a place for athletes to get gear, have their bikes serviced, find a training partner, and just hang out downtown. A training schedule is posted on their website, including mountain bike, cyclocross and road rides, running, and indoor training sessions on your trainer. Check them out at seiglersports.com or, even better, drop in and say hi. 2

3 Outings A Word About Outings All PWC outings and other activities are open to anyone, but if you enjoy our company and what we do, we would like you to become a member.
