1 The Newsletter for FSB Connect Club Members July/August 2016 Panama February 28 - March 7, 2017 We have put together another fascinating winter getaway for next February/March Join us as we travel to the country of Panama, a gateway to a nation of diverse treasures. Travel Show We ll begin our journey with a 3-night stay at the magnificent Gamboa Rainforest Resort located deep in the heart of the Panamanian Rainforest. The hotel is a limited all-inclusive property which means that all meals are included during your stay -- including alcoholic beverages during lunch and dinner. Here you will have the chance to visit the Miraflores Locks Visitor Center explaining the history and operations of the Panama Canal, and watch ships as they pass through the canal. You will also enjoy the Monkey Boat tour as you enter into secret waterways where Capuchin and Howler monkeys leap Thursday, August 11th 2:00 PM Elmcrest Country Club RSVP through the trees. The boat ride passes through the Panama Canal, giving you the opportunity to view huge container ships on their passage across the world. You will also experience a Panama Canal Partial Transit. As the vessel sails the Cut s 8.5 miles to the Pedro Miguel Locks you will see the Centennial Bridge the start of the Pan-American Highway. Then you will enjoy another 3-night stay at the all inclusive Westin Playa Bonita resort, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, with four pools, daily activities, meals and alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages. 2 Message from Jolene We had an amazing journey to the Norwegian Fjords and Baltic Capitals! I have included some of the pictures from the trip for you to enjoy! What a wonderful group of travelers joined us on this trip! It s always nice to travel with the Connect Club and see the friendships that have evolved from previous tours. Traveling the world brings you the profound insight that as different as our appearances, tastes, dress, music, and cultures may be across the globe.people are the same. We have met some great people as we have traveled the foreign countries including some amazing tour guides. Now that summer is in full swing, I wanted to remind you that our seminar and movie days have switched months so Collins Road Theatres can accommodate the kid s summer show schedule. We tried this out last summer and it was a win-win for us and the theatre. That being said, our next seminar on fraud will be in July and you will need to call in your reservation to attend sooner than normal. This is a very informative seminar that you don t want to miss. The scams just keep getting bigger and better and involve more and more people. Our goal is to help educate you on some of the most pervasive and frequently used scams because we don t want YOU to be the next victim!

3 Matthew M Spading Vice President & Trust Officer TRUST TIPS Tara M Minetos Trust Officer Jack and Sally Stein were killed in a car accident 3 weeks ago, and their great-niece, Becky, has been named as Executor of the couple 's estates. Becky is a 22-year-old college student and doesn 't even know where to begin. While the outside of the Stein home has always been immaculate and the interior is organized, Jack and Sally were raised during the Great Depression and had a tendency to hoard. They would buy anything when it was on sale and refused to get rid of something if they thought it still had a purpose. Becky spent about 10 minutes in the home before giving up. FSB 's Trust Department can help in situations like these. Becky, as Executor, could appoint FSB as Agent. FSB can hire an experienced company to go through the Stein home and pick out what has value and should be sold at auction, donated, or thrown away. FSB will also complete Becky' s duties as Executor working with an estate attorney to meet all Court deadlines, completing tax returns, and selling the Stein home. Becky can complete her senior year of college with the peace of mind that her aunt and uncle 's estates are being properly administered. MOVIE DAY Tuesday, August 23rd Join your Connect Club friends for your choice of five movies currently showing at the Collins Road Theatres! The doors will be open at 8:30 a.m. Enjoy all the free popcorn you can eat and all the pop or coffee you can drink! The concession stand is also open to purchase anything else you might like to have. At 9:15 a.m. we will have announcements, door prizes, and a synopsis of the movies being shown that day with a chance to change theatres for the movie of your choice, and to get those refills before we start the show! We do not make any stops going or coming home, so bring along what you will need on the coach.
