2 The Flow Family is dedicated to educating children and adults on the many ways in which water touches everyone s daily lives and will explain that everyone s efforts are needed to keep water flowing clean and resourceful. The Flow Family hopes that you will enjoy coloring the pictures in this book and that you will join Dewy and Puddles in their future adventures with The Flow Family. 3 Hi I m Dewy! That s my dog puddles. He s a water spaniel! We are here to tell you why clean water is just as important to your family as it is to mine. Speaking of my family, would you like to meet them? Let s go!

4 There s my mom! She s a nurse at Basin hospital. Mom says that water is used everywhere in the hospital and without it sick people couldn t get better. She plans to give me a tour someday to show me all the ways that clean water is needed by hospitals. Maybe you can come too?

5 This is my Dad! He s a professional athlete. Watertown Storm Clouds World Champs He and his teammates drink a lot of water. Puddles and I are going to go to one of his practices someday soon. Maybe you can come too?

6 This is Nana flow! She takes care of our home. She does a lot of cooking, baking, and cleaning. She says clean water is very important for so many jobs around the house. What are some chores that you would need clean water for?

7 Here s Papa flow! He is an unbelievable farmer! He grows lots of fruits and vegetables on the farm. Next time we visit Papa I'll have him show you how he uses water to grow the plants. Maybe he ll show you some animals too!

8 This is my cousin! She is an engineer! She designs buildings and equipment that keep water clean. Her job is very important to all of us. Someday she is going to teach me how they clean the water. You should come!

9 This is my uncle! He has been a plumber for a long time. He works with sinks, toilets and he solves problems with pipes. He always wants to keep water flowing without any leaks. Maybe next time we see him, he ll show us how it all works.

10 This is my older brother, Blake! He has just joined the navy. He wants to sail all of the oceans. He can t wait to start his ocean adventures. I hope that he tells me all about them. There s a whole world to explore. I can tell that he s excited.

11 This is my older sister, Misty! She is a teenager! 6:o5 She spends a lot of time in the bathroom getting ready for school. Clean Water is very important for health and personal hygiene. But, I sure hope that she isn t wasting any water!

12 Well, You have met my family! They are all special and soon they will help Puddles and me explain how important clean water is to everyone. Nana Flow is calling us in for dinner, so we have to go! But, Puddles and I hope you will join us in our future adventures. Remember...Water is essential!

COOKING AND CLEANING WITH NANA FLOW- Nana Flow needs some help around the house so Dewy and Puddles pitch-in on a fun adventure. WHY ATHLETES NEED WATER- Dewy and Puddles visit Daddy Flow at football practice and discover why fresh water is so important to athletes. WHY DO THEY CALL IT A RAIN FOREST?- Blake explains what a rain forest is and needs your help getting through the forest.
