That the minutes as circulated are confirmed as a true and accurate record of the meeting held on 11 December 2017 at 5pm. John Howe/Darryl Nelson Carried MATTERS ARISING FROM THE PREVIOUS MINUTES: Alistair Wing noted that Jamie was advised he was welcome to write to the Board re his request for assistance to build a new boundary fence but he advised he would pay for his fence on George Street. There is a no smoking sign outside the swimming pool. CORRESPONDENCE: Outwards: Ashburton Woodworkers Inc A letter reminding them that the façade to their building needs to go up to comply with the Development Plan. Inwards: Ashburton Woodworkers Inc Letter advising that discussion on the façade issue had taken place on 29 January at their committee meeting. It was noted that there was no reply indicating when they were to complete the façade. Americar Rod & Custom Club Inc Letter advising that they are hosting the 2018 Street Rod Nationals in Ashburton over Easter weekend, also incorporating the Club s 50 th anniversary celebrations. The show is being held at the Ashburton Racecourse on Easter Sunday, 1 April. A lot of the weekend is based around the clubrooms on Maronan Road, a marquee will be erected near the clubrooms to cater for the extra numbers over the weekend. Louise Glennon, Ashburton District Council - An advising of a workshop for the Reserve and Hall Boards on Health and Safety requirements and risks. This is scheduled for Friday 2 March, 1-3pm at the Council Chamber Meeting Room. 2 MATTERS ARISING FROM THE CORRESPONDENCE: Louise Glennon to be advised that the Board has no paid staff. The mail from Advance Ashburton was given to Bev Walls for a reply..that Americar be advised that we approve and support their arrangements for the 2018 Street Rod Nationals in Ashburton over Easter weekend subject to compliance with Council and Health and Safety requirements. Darryl Nelson/Leen Braam - Carried Rae Bev Rae FINANCIAL REPORT The income for December was $56, See Appendix 1 The income for January was $43, See Appendix 2 that the accounts from the Holiday Park Sub-Committee meeting in January 2018 totalling $13, be ratified for payment, also the accounts from the Holiday Park Sub-committee in February 2018 totalling $17, be ratified for payment. Bev Walls/Graham Ackroyd - Carried Bev MATTERS ARISING FROM REPORT: There have still been problems with the Internet, the cell phone could be used. COMMITTEE REPORTS: 1. PLAINS MUSEUM TRUST Robin Kilworth reported about the façade on the Fire Brigade building, there had been a break down in procedure. Alistair Wing advised there had been discussions between the Plains Museum Trust and the Fire Brigade Committee. The Board to see the plans that were submitted to the Museum Trust at the next meeting. Robin and Alistair to discuss a letter to be sent to the Chief Executive Officer of the Ashburton District Council that no building consents to be issued without the accompanying approval of the Tinwald Reserves Board. Robin/ Alistair 2. HOLIDAY PARK Leen Braam advised that all is going well, close to the fit out at the new lodge. water main had been broken. A 3. HOLIDAY PARK DEVELOPMENT John Howe reported on more progress. Some painting had been done and the kitchen was going in, they are trying for mid-march to be completed. Leen Braam said the final plan for the landscaping is organised, they are getting prices for the tar seal. Alistair Wing thanked John for his hard work. Cabin removal quotes had been received..that the quote from Mid Canterbury Building Removals Ltd (Jessep) for $19, be accepted. Leen Braam/Graham Ackroyd - Carried

3 GENERAL BUSINESS: Graham Ackroyd advised that there is a dead tree beside the pond. There was also discussion on the jetty, Graham to organise for it to be taken out if necessary and advise course of action at next meeting.
