5 COROMANDEL COASTAL WALKWAY This famous 3-4 hour walk links Fletcher and Stony Bay, at the very top of The Coromandel peninsula. A must for keen walkers, although shorter walks are available. Great views of the coastline and offshore islands.
6 HOMEGROWN The Coromandel has 400km of coastline, great for fishing and diving. Travel the Homegrown Food Trail to sample the local produce. Enjoy the food, art and music vibe at year round events such as the Scallop Festival.
7 KARANGAHAKE GORGE Walk Karangahake Gorge, one of the 14 wonders of New Zealand. Where you can cycle the Hauraki Rail Trail. Marvel at the gold mining relics, including a 1km tunnel.
8 HAURAKI RAIL TRAIL The 82km trail is the easiest cycle trail in New Zealand. The trail follows the path of two historic railway lines offering a Multi day trail ride. Includes, Thames, Paeroa, Waihi, Te Aroha and Karangahake Gorge.
