Hanlin, Jr. CPA/ CFE / ICVS/ CFD President and CEO of IACVA Mr. Hanlin has prepared numerous business valuations since These valuations have been prepared for purposes of acquisition or sale of a business, for settlement in divorce proceedings, for partner/shareholder dispute resolution, for stock valuation in accord with specific terms of buy/sell agreements, and estate/gift tax purposes. Mr. Hanlin has been an instructor for many years on the subject of valuation theory and application, as well as fraud deterrence. James Horvath Managing Director, ValuQuest Limited With over 30 years of experience, Jim has specialized in business and securities valuations, and related intellectual property. Having completed over 3,000 valuation assignments, including the supervision of large, complex multidiscipline valuation engagements, he has worked in a wide variety of industries and given expert testimony on valuation matters on multiple engagements. Jim also has extensive international experience, having worked on valuations, mergers, and acquisitions in 67 countries. He has authored several books and numerous articles on valuation, and both in Canada and internationally is a frequent speaker on valuation methods and issues. Assem Safieddine PhD, ICVS He is the Rami Makhzoumi Chaired professor of Corporate Governance at the Olayan School of Business at the American University of Beirut (AUB). Served as the associate dean for faculty affairs and academic programs and as an associate dean for graduate programs and the director of the Corporate Governance Program for years. He has served as a member of the board s corporate governance committee of Al Hilal Bank. He is the founding president of the Lebanese CFA Society and the regional director of the Global Association of Risk Professionals and the president of the Lebanese Risk Management Society.
