3 Arrival information Meeting rooms Your event will be held in: Other information Campus services and amenities The has a wide range of facilities and services which conference visitors are welcome to use, including Santander Bank, bookshop, grocery/general store and post office. Visitors are welcome to use many of the facilities at the Surrey Sports Park which is around minutes walk from the main campus or a short bus ride. Please see the website for opening times and prices Residential visitors only Arrival and departure Your court of residence is: Keys can be collected from your court of residence reception, which is open from 000 to 00 Monday to Friday and from 000 to Midday on Saturday. Outside of these times keys can be collected from the Security Office in Senate House. Access to bedrooms is not guaranteed before 00 and you are requested to vacate your room by 00 on your day of departure. Delegates will be charged for keys not returned. Catering The majority of pre-booked conference catering is in Hillside Restaurant in Oak House. Opening times are as follows: Breakfast Lunch Dinner 00-0 Please check your programme or joining information for further details. Cash catering is available in Chancellors Restaurant. Please wear the delegate badge provided by your conference organiser or take written confirmation of your place on the conference to the restaurant with you. Visitors with special needs To ensure your visit is as comfortable as possible, please contact the Conference Office on 0 for advice on the best access routes, parking and other facilities. Parking spaces are available for disabled visitors close to residences, principal meeting areas and catering venues subject to availability. Security and personal property The accepts no liability for loss or damage to property or vehicles and their contents, nor for injury to visitors to the campus except where required by law. Please lock your bedroom door and shut the windows when leaving. Room service and facilities Bed linen, towels, soap and tea/ coffee are provided for delegates. A kettle, iron, ironing board, fridge and a microwave are located in a nearby kitchen. Rooms are cleaned daily on weekdays and fresh linen provided once a week or for each new visitor. Bedrooms are not normally serviced at the weekends. Most standard rooms have a washbasin and shaver point. All rooms in and Twyford Court have an ensuite shower and w.c. Internet access i-fi access is available in most areas of campus. Please ask your event organiser for a log in and password. Access in the bedrooms is via wired broadband. To use this service in bedrooms please bring an Ethernet cable for your laptop and use the same log in details from your organiser. How to get to us by rail, bus, air By rail Guildford has good rail links. Fast trains from Portsmouth Harbour to aterloo call at Guildford (via oking). They run half-hourly and take around minutes. From Guildford rail and bus stations The Arriva services,, and run frequently to and from the campus/town centre and railway station throughout the day. A reduced timetable operates on Sundays. From the railway station take the rear exit and cross the road to the bus stop. There is a taxi rank at the front of the station. By air Guildford is easily reached from Gatwick or Heathrow using the M and A. A half hourly rail/coach service runs from Heathrow via oking. Take the coach from Heathrow and then the train from oking to Guildford. An hourly train service runs between Gatwick and Guildford.
