2 Welcome to Welwyn Garden City Welcome to Welwyn Garden City, where our Tesco colleagues are now together as one team. We are looking forward to welcoming our guests here too and we have pulled together this pack to help you with some of the practical things you may need to plan for your visit to us. We hope that you will find it useful and if you do have any further questions any one of us will be happy to help. Our move to come together as one team represents a big opportunity, it s more than just a physical move, it s an opportunity for us to work differently. In the past, we organised ourselves around individual business units, now, we are working as one team - serving Britain s shoppers a little better every day by bringing together our unrivalled expertise to give our customers a truly joined up Tesco experience. To do this we have created a space that helps everyone, colleagues and guests alike to contribute to their full potential. We are encouraging our colleagues to work in a way which is better suited to the lifestyles we lead, and helps us all to balance work in our busy lives, so that we can all really enjoy working together. As a guest you may notice some differences when you visit, including: more collaborative workspaces, a range of meeting rooms, improved technology and more informal dress. Travelling to our office The Tesco campus in Welwyn Garden City is a well-connected location in the heart of south-east England. Our main reception is located in Checkout (formerly called Cirrus A).

Checkout Tesco House Shire Park Kestrel Way Welwyn Garden City AL7 1GA Tel: By Train -Kings Cross/Cambridge to Welwyn Garden City Welwyn Garden City train station is just minutes from the Tesco campus and is accessed from within the Howard Centre. The station is on the Kings cross GNER and First Capital connect routes with frequent trains between Welwyn Garden City and London Kings Cross to the south, and Cambridge to the north, as well as Hatfield and surrounding towns. For more information, please call National Rail Enquiries on or visit National Rail Our campus can be accessed on foot, by shuttle bus or by taxi from the station On foot 1. Exit train station into Howard Centre 2. Go down escalator and exit Howard Centre 3. Head right towards roundabout, passing Debenhams, towards Waitrose 4. Cross bridge road as though you re going to go into Waitrose 5. Head past Waitrose and cross little zebra crossing to find pathway heading down into second car park 6. Cross car park 7. Head onto Gresley Close and walk all the way to the end 8. Turn right and cross the pedestrian railway bridge. At that point you ll see a metal gate entrance to Shire Park 9. Enter Shire Park and turn left to see multi storey car park and the Checkout Head Office buildings. 3

4 By taxi Welwyn Garden City has a taxi rank located outside the Howard Centre main entrance. Shuttle bus There are several shuttle bus services available for Tesco colleagues and guests to travel to and from the station. The shuttle bus stop and timetable is located in the basement of the Howard Centre, next to the taxi rank, as well as outside each of our buildings. By Car The Tesco campus is just 10 minutes from Junction 4 of the A1(M). If you have satellite navigation our postcode is AL7 1GA. As you enter Shire Park, go straight across the first roundabout and at the second roundabout take the third exit which leads you to Checkout. There is parking for guests outside of Checkout, which doesn t need to be pre-booked. By Plane Luton Airport - Situated to the west of Welwyn, at junction 10 of the M1, approximately 40 minutes journey by car. London Stansted Airport - Situated to the east of Welwyn, at junction 8 of the M11, approximately 20 minutes journey by car. Heathrow Airport - Situated to the south of Welwyn, at junction 4 of the M4, approximately minutes journey by car. By Bike If you are thinking of cycling to Welwyn, we do have changing facilities and showers. Please speak to your Tesco colleague who can tell you where these are located. 4

6 Useful information/ services Wi-Fi access Our wi-fi can be easily accessed by guests, simply log in to the TescoGuest network. Food and drink Guests are welcome to use any of our restaurants or cafes. We have enlarged our café in reception at Checkout so there is plenty of room for guests - it is the ideal place to meet colleagues. Our Resource Centre Our Resource Centre will stay in its current location in Cheshunt until late 2017.We understand that this facility is an important one for our teams and our guests, and, as we continue to use it, we thought it would be helpful to share some key information with you about the Resource Centre and how to send product samples to us. What will be available at the Resource Centre? Our eight tasting rooms and kitchens will continue to operate at the Resource Centre along with our display kitchen for training and demonstrations. All rooms can be booked using the existing Resource Centre booking system via your Tesco contact. All food samples can be delivered directly to the Resource Centre. Tesco Resource Centre Quality Assessment Centre Delamare Rd Cheshunt Hertfordshire EN8 9SL When sending in any samples to our teams, it s helpful if you can include the: name of your Tesco contact; your company name; delivery contents; and correct storage requirements. We are able to accept samples from to (Mon Fri). Unfortunately no deliveries can be accepted over the weekends. 6

7 Our Display Centre Our Display Centre helps us to build our product displays, review new store concepts, develop marketing campaigns, and ensure that all equipment works well. We welcome guests at the Display Centre as part of the range planning and building process. The Tesco Display Centre is located just outside of Shire park.
