NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that applications for transfer of licence to another person, bookmaker licences, addition of bookmaker premises, removal of business to other premises and gambling machine site licences, in terms of sections 36, 37, 50 read with section 49 and 53 respectively, of the Gambling and Betting Act, 1997 (Act No. 5 of 1997) (Eastern Cape) (as amended), particulars of which are set out in the Schedules hereunder, have been lodged with the Eastern Cape Gambling and Betting Board. The applications may be inspected by any person at the offices of the Eastern Cape Gambling and Betting Board, ECGBB Building, Quenera Park, Quenera Drive, Beacon Bay, East London and at the respective Municipalities within which the Premises are located as shown in the schedules below. Any objections, petitions or representations shall be lodged with the Chief Executive Officer of the Board within one month of the date of this notice, commencing on 16 April 2014 until 15 May All objections and comments shall specify: the application to which the objection or comment relates; the grounds on which the objection is founded; in the case of comment; full particulars or facts in substantiation thereof: the name, address, telephone and fax number of the objector or person making the comment and a statement whether the objector or person making the comment wishes to make oral representations when the application is heard. A person lodging representations may show cause why the Board may determine that his or her identity should not be divulged.
