2 About Us Our Approach staff, with clients and suppliers. We take great pride in being able to offer safe, enjoyable and well planned trekking challenges in some of the most spectacular parts of Europe. We are a small but committed team of experienced Mountain Leaders with a range of backgrounds including individuals who have served in the armed forces. We have worked with a number of amazing charities to help them make the most of their fundraising efforts and with numerous companies providing a range of team-building events for We specialise in providing a personalised and flexible service to meet the specific needs of our clients including the design of bespoke events. Our aim is to take away a lot of the stress and hard work needed to organise and deliver challenging and exciting events and to ensure all the participants have a truly memorable experience. Our highly experienced and qualified Mountain Leaders and International Mountain Leaders have years of experience in planning and delivering fantastic events to both challenge and inspire participants. All our leaders have first aid qualifications and years of outdoor experience, ensuring that your safety is paramount at all times. All of our events are fully risk assessed, regularly reviewed and have full public liability insurance. We offer a full outdoor event management service and can support you in developing and delivering your event from concept to delivery. We pride ourselves on being flexible to your needs and have an absolute dedication to quality. Our service includes: concept development and creation; support with and recruitment of participants; health, safety and risk Assessments; event preparation and participant management and on-the-day event management. We are also able to support and advise on accommodation; food, transport and logistics you can relax in the knowledge that your event will be a success in the capable hands of our experienced and knowledgeable team.

Spain - The High Peak Challenge Trek to the summit of Mulhacen, at 3482m. Mulhacen is the highest mountain in mainland Spain and the Iberian Peninsular.

Because of its proximity to the Mediterranean Sea and its range of altitudes from 800m to 3482m, it has a range of climatic zones through the seasons from Mediterranean to Alpine.

It is situated in the Sierra Nevada National Park which lies just south of the city of Granada and around 60 miles east of Malaga. Because of its proximity to the Mediterranean Sea and its range of altitudes from 800m to 3482m, it has a range of climatic zones through the seasons from Mediterranean to Alpine. Spain - The Sierra Nevada 3 Peaks Trek over 30km of high mountain terrain and conquer three of Mainland Spain s highest mountains whilst taking in the stunning Sierra Nevada National Park.

Our Spanish 3 peaks challenge will consist of summiting Alcazaba, Veleta and Mulhacén. The mountain range is the second highest in Europe after the Alps. The three peaks are: Mulhacen (3482m, highest in the Spanish mainland) is named after the penultimate Arab ruler Muley Hacen who is reputedly buried on the mountain after he was deposed by his son, Boabdil. Pico del Veleta (3396m) translates as The Weather Vane. Veleta is clearly seen from Granada from where people can interpret the weather observing what is happening on the mountain. Alcazaba (3371m) translates as The Fortress and is named after its imposing north face as seen from Granada and the north. This fantastic 4-day itinerary can also be easily fitted into a long weekend meaning you can experience this fantastic challenge without having to take too long off work. Nuria situated at 2000m can only be reached by rack railway or on foot and this high mountain challenge takes you the route via the mountains. This fantastic 4 day itinerary (with 3 days in the Dolomites) takes in a range of the highlights of this region on a challenging but thoroughly satisfying itinerary.

6 Italy - The Dolomites Traverse through alpine meadows, mystifying woods, exquisite views, high altitude terrain, dramatic walls, and towering heights. The Dolomite Mountains feature an infinite number of trails winding their way through these incredible landscapes, with breathtaking vistas including the amazing Tre Cime di Lavaredo. This fantastic 4 day itinerary (with 3 days in the Dolomites) takes in a range of the highlights of this region on a challenging but thoroughly satisfying itinerary. The Dolomites are some of the most beautiful and unique mountains in Europe. There are countless jagged soaring peaks, huge buttresses and high plateaus to be enjoyed. The area is also famous for its wildlife, flora and fauna and its fantastic culture and history. There are hundreds of miles of mountain walks including the famous via ferrata ( Way of Iron ), which are protected paths created during the First World War which provide fantastic and safe adventurous days out in the high mountain terrain. 7 Slovenia - The Triglav Alps This exciting challenge taking in Triglav, the highest mountain in Slovenia, is set in great mountain country. The Julian Alps are in the north west of the country and close to the Italian and Austrian borders. The trip starts near Pokljuka, in the heart of the Julian Alps, which is around an hours drive from Lubljana airport. There is an excellent network of mountain huts, offering us a great opportunity to become immersed in the mountain scenery. Our final night is spent in accommodation in the beautiful Bohinj valley. The trek to the summit of Triglav does involve some protected rock scrambling (using metal ropes and pegs). It is a summit for adventurous walkers. Alpine weather in mid summer can make the ascent to the summit a challenging adventure. Duration: 3 Days Dates: June to October Grade: Tough and Technical (4/5) Suggested Accommodation: Local Hotels and Mountain Huts Dramatic mountain scenery some of the most impressive in the Alps Wonderful ridge views, beautiful alpine flowers, traditional alpine meadows, sunrise and sunset high in the mountains Friendly hospitable mountain loving people.

8 Greece - Mount Olympus Mount Olympus 2918m is the highest mountain in Greece. Although Olympus is a name familiar to everyone in the western world, very few know much about this mountain and even fewer have climbed this rocky peak. The ancient Greeks regarded Mt. Olympus as the home of the gods. In Homer s Iliad, Zeus talked to the other gods from the top most peak of many ridged Olympus, an apt description. We will meet you at Thessaloniki Airport on Thursday evening and transport you to Litochoro where we stay for the evening. On the Friday morning we depart for our trek. We will trek for about 7-8 hours each day. Duration: 3 Days Dates: June to October Grade: Challenging (3/5) Suggested Accommodation: Local Hotels and Mountain Huts Couple of stops along the way until we reach the spectacular Muses plateau, where we will spend the night. An early start on Saturday morning will enable us to make a traverse of the mountain to reach Mytikas, the summit Olympus at 2901m. Petrostruga refuge at 1950m where we spend the night

This is a sustained challenge but will also give you opportunity to experience fantastic culture and scenery in the Pyrenees. This 4 day itinerary will take you to some of the best Mountainous areas of Europe. This is a tough multi day sustained challenge not to be underestimated. Duration: 4 Days total Dates: June to October Grade: Tough (4/5) Accommodation: Local Hotels Early morning start from Nuria to the the Parc Naturel Régional des Pyrénées Catalanes in France Ascent of the highest peak in Andorra, Coma Pedrosa or an equivalent Peak Ascent of circa 2000m peak in the Nuria Region of the Spanish Pyrenees.

11 Outdoor Skills and Expedition Training Weekends Our informative, interesting and highly useful training weekends are designed to provide you with a great opportunity to pick up lots of useful hints and tips in advance of your overseas expedition, learn some new skills and get an idea of what you will experience whilst on your overseas expedition. You will also be going on 3 separate walks including a night walk and a good day s walk (approx 6-7 hours) on the Sunday which will help you determine your own fitness levels and put you through your paces on terrain similar to what you may experience abroad. You will also meet some like-minded people and have some fun as well! 2016 DATES 12th 13th March 2016 Peak District (Edale, Hostel Accommodation) 16th 17th April 2016 Peak District (Edale, Hostel Accommodation) 14th 15th May 2016 Lake District (Langdale, Hostel Accommodation) 4th 5th June 2016 Peak District (Edale, Camping Accommodation) 23rd 24th July 2016 Yorkshire Dales (Ingleton, Camping Accommodation) 17th 18th September 2016 Peak District (Edale, Camping Accommodation) 10th 11th October 2016 Peak District (Edale, Hostel Accommodation) WEEKEND PROGRAMME Upon arrival you will be met by your instructors and receive a welcome brief and have the opportunity to meet your follow participants. You will have your first set of seminars and learn about personal clothing and what to pack in your day bag before departing on an afternoon trek. The route depends upon the weather but is generally between 3 and 4 hours in lower to medium level terrain. During this walk you will have the opportunity to discuss your clothing and day bag in more detail and have the opportunity to learn about the health and safety that goes into a challenge prior to your departure and during your trip. In the evening you will have some more seminars and learn about some basic campcraft skills, camp administration, packing advice, hygiene cooking in the outdoors and about teamwork and supporting others whilst on your challenge. After dinner, you will embark on a 1 to 2 hour night walk so you can understand what to expect on your chosen challenge. This will give you the opportunity to experience what it is like to walk in the dark, how things seem different and how the correct use of a head torch. The following morning, you will leave after breakfast and undertake a longer trek in medium to high level terrain. Again the route in dependant on weather but is normally between 6 and 8 hours in duration. During this trek you will learn about basic navigation, pre challenge fitness training, health and wellbeing, walking techniques and have the opportunity to ask your instructors all the questions you may have. You will return to base, have the opportunity to change and ask any final questions before you depart.

12 Additional Information and FAQs What time of year do you offer these events? We can offer most of these events any time between May and October, although some we cannot offer until June onwards due to snow and altitude. See specific events for more details. How big is the group? There is no specific limit to the size of the group although we tend to offer these events for groups with a minimum group size of 10 and no more than 24. We operate a 1:8 leader to participant ratio. What about my flights, accommodation and travel? We are the mountain challenge provider for your event rather than a tour operator or travel agent. We do not arrange food, accommodation or transportation. We can provide lots of useful information when you make your booking regarding local recommended accommodation providers and suggested flight times. Alternatively we can recommend an ATOL protected travel agent who understands how our events work and will ensure that your bookings fit with the itinerary of the event. What kit should participants bring? Our events are mountain challenges so appropriate walking equipment is require including waterproof jacket and trousers, walking boots with ankle support and no jeans. Full details of what to bring will be provided in a kit list. Who will be leading the activities? We work with a great team of experienced, enthusiastic and fully qualified Mountain Leaders and International Mountain Leaders who will look after participants throughout the challenge. They will be ultimately responsible for the running of the itinerary and the safety of the group and of course to ensure that everyone in the group has a great time. How fit do participants need to be? Participants should be reasonably fit when taking part in these challenges. Whilst participants do not need to have lots of hillwalking experience, a good level of fitness is needed with some training undertaken on some slopes to ensure participants get the most out of the day and give themselves the best opportunity to complete the route. Inclusions Event includes experienced and knowledgeable walk guide services, insurance, fully risk assessed planning and an enjoyable trip. 13 Inspired UK Challenge Events We are delighted to work in partnership with Inspired Outdoor Events who provide a fantastic range of UK challenge events. These can be integrated into a fundraising programme for our European events or can be offered as a standalone event. Some of Inspired Outdoors UK based challenges are highlighted below for the full range of events and the public event dates for the year see their website National 3 Peaks (in 48hrs) Climb the three highest peaks in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon). This classic national challenge starts with a pick-up in Manchester and then heads north up to Scotland to tackle Ben Nevis first, then heads south to take on Scafell (in the English lake District) and then Wales highest mountain Snowdon. The Central Lake District High Summit Challenge (Langdale) Climb some of the biggest and most prominent mountains in the beautiful Lake District. This fantastic high level route around the stunning Langdale Valley takes in some of the most famous and beautiful scenery valley in the English Lake District as you tackle the peaks of Crinkle Crags, Bowfell, Esk Pike, Great End and England s highest mountain - Scafell Pike (978m). The Yorkshire 3 Peak Challenge Trek the famous classic circular route taking in the three highest Peaks in the beautiful county of Yorkshire (Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough). This tough physical and mental challenge takes you across a wide range of terrain and is a beautiful long distance walking challenge. You will be trekking 26 miles (40km) in 12 hours. The Lake District and Welsh 3000 Footers Challenges (2 days) Climb the four largest peaks in the Lake District that are over 3000 feet in altitude (Skiddaw, Helvellyn, Scafell and Scafell Pike) or the equivalent challenge in the dramatic Snowdonia National Park. These demanding challenges takes you to all corners of these beautiful national parks and take in a wide variety of terrain and scenery with fabulous views and a variety of challenging terrain. Charity Abseiling Challenges As well as being exhilarating and exciting, stepping back off the top of a tall building or natural feature on a charity abseil is a fantastic way of conquering your fears in a totally safe environment. Abseiling is a major adrenaline rush and represents a challenge of a lifetime. Can you face your fears and step over the edge? Test yourself to the limit, do something you d always dreamed you d never do and raise vital funds for Charity. Survive the Wild Challenge yourself to Survive the Wild! This unique, mentally and physically demanding two-day adventure will take you deep into some of the wildest terrain of the UK in Snowdonia. You will undertake a range of gruelling and thrilling physical challenges which will leave you with memories you will not forget. From the moment you arrive, you will be taken off the beaten track and put through your paces as you work together as a team and tackle a range of outdoor challenges. From the outset this is an adrenaline fuelled, intense, survival-focused adventurous event.
