I had - MAGGIE: Um yeah. I m in a towel. I was zening out. Scene: INT. ANNIE S HOUSE - LIVING ROOM - MID-DAY P MAGGIE: Yes, hi Annie. MAGGIE: It was good to see you. MAGGIE: I promise. I ll come back. Scene: EXT. RESIDENTIAL STREETS - MID-DAY P MAGGIE: Taking you? MAGGIE: Well I thought maybe we can go to the board walk. MAGGIE: Is that okay? Scene: EXT. CITY STREETS - NIGHT P MAGGIE: I had a really good time tonight. MAGGIE: You know when you left I was a mess. I was 19 and we had just lost our baby. I couldn t talk to anyone about it. Then your father died and you disappeared. MAGGIE: I didn t know what my next step was. I was worried I wouldn t get into college. And I couldn t leave

The doctors say she s in the early stages of Alzheimer's. I m having the toughest time communicating with her. MAGGIE: I was going to check up on her. Would you like to join me? MAGGIE: Yeah. Scene: INT. HOSPITAL - ENTRANCE - NIGHT P MAGGIE: I came to check on my mom. MAGGIE: Yes. MAGGIE: That s enough Carla. Scene: INT. HOSPITAL - ROOM - NIGHT P MAGGIE: Mom. MAGGIE: I came to check on you. And I brought a friend. MAGGIE: Mom you know that s not the case. Did you take your pills today? MAGGIE: Mom! MAGGIE: I ll be back. (to Vincent) Will you be okay? MAGGIE: What are you two doing? MAGGIE: I see that.
