One unit was entered and there were some items taken DEO Delebreau was asked to assist the county with an accident at the intersection of Pine Grove Rd. and Game Ln. (Town of New Denmark) DEO Delebreau was dispatched to Safe T Storage for a report of suspicious vehicles. After investigating the vehicles no criminal activity was found. The driver s of the vehicles were told they needed to leave the property DEO Dzekute gave two presentations to Mr. Weigman s personal planning classes at the high school. The presentations covered the job of a law enforcement officer and what steps need to be taken to obtain a position DEO Dzekute took a group of 9 students from the elementary school to Shopko of De Pere for the Shop With A Cop event. The event was a huge success. Thank you to all the parents for allowing their children to participate. A huge Thank You also has to go out to the sponsors and supporters of the event DEO Delebreau began his shift early to do some parking enforcement before the snow arrived. There were 9 parking tickets issued for overnight parking on the village streets DEO Dzekute was called to check the welfare of some dogs at a house on Green Bay Rd. The dogs had adequate housing and did not appear to be in any type of distress DEO Delebreau was asked to assist the county with an evaluation as a DRE (Drug Recognition Expert) DEO Dzekute assisted Denmark Fire with a welfare check at 475 N. Wall St. After arrival we learned that a pet kitten had gotten into the walls in the basement. The students worked very hard during the class and definitely earned their T-shirts and certificates. A big Thank You goes out to Denmark Elementary School, the 5 th grade teachers, the extra staff that make the class and graduation a big success, and the family and friends of the graduates who really help make the program great DEO Delebreau conducted follow-up for a reckless driving complaint. The suspect vehicle was located and the driver was talked to later by DEO Dzekute. DEO Dzekute assisted the county with two different weather related incidents. A vehicle that was having mechanical problems due to the cold was helped off the highway. There was also an accident on the STH 172 bridge that created a large traffic issue that needed all hands on deck to get cleaned up in a timely manner Both DEOs assisted with follow-up for the vehicle break-ins in the village. Statements were taken and information was gathered. 5
6 DEO Delebreau assisted Brown County investigators with a search warrant. The search warrant turned up property that was stolen and this helped the investigators get closer to closing the case DEO Dzekute was contacted by GBPD to assist with locating a runaway. Phone contact was made with the runaway, but a physical location could not be established. The information was passed on to GBPD Both DEOs were dispatched to a disturbance. After arriving and investigating the incident it was found to be a verbal argument. The parties had separated before officers arrived and there was no need for any further action at that time Both DEOs were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle at the storage units on Green Bay Rd. The driver was an elderly male who appeared to be living out of his vehicle. The male was taken to the crisis center so he could get the help he needed to find adequate housing Both DEOs were asked to assist with the Fill the Cruiser event at the Pick-N-Save grocery store in Bellevue. The event was a huge success. All the groceries collected went to a local shelter and will help to feed and care for those in need. The generosity of all the shoppers who donated items was overwhelming and just shows how many great people we have living in Brown County. Year End Numbers CALL VOLUME BY DAY AND TIME 6

12 INFORMATION BULLETIN Just a reminder to keep all vehicles, homes, and outbuildings locked. We may trust our neighbors, but can we always trust the stranger that finds their way into the village. DON T be a soft target for criminal activity. It is important to remember to call in any type of suspicious activity. With the recent string of thefts we have had some incidents that have not been called in when they happen. The sooner the activity gets called in the sooner we can get officers in the area and hopefully get this problem to stop. The number to call is If it s an emergency always dial 911. The village will be getting a voic set up on the phone line in the DEO office. If we are not available please leave a message and one of us will get in touch as soon as we can. We will be checking the voic throughout our shift. If there are any drug issues that you notice throughout the village and you would like to report them please call the Brown County Drug Task Force tip line: DRUG(3784). The tips that come in from the village will get sent and viewed by both DEOs. We can then follow up on the tips. If anyone has a police matter that isn t an emergency but you would like an officer to come out please use the non-emergency number: This is the easiest way to either get the Denmark DEOs or if they are not available you will get an available county officer. This also helps the Denmark DEOs track the type of calls and call volume. This is what we use to make our plans on how to patrol the village. If there is an emergency that needs law enforcement action please call
13 Everyone stay safe and have a great month DEO Jonathon Dzekute 13
