Mrs. Moore Titanic Tribute
My name is Margaret Fleming. At the age of 42, I was a 1 st class passenger aboard the Titanic. I was traveling to Haverford, Pennsylvania with my employer, Mrs. Marian Thayer, her husband, Mr. John Thayer, and their son, Mr. John Thayer, Jr. We had spent a long time in Europe and were headed home to Haverford. I boarded Lifeboat 4.
My name is Thomas McCormack. When I was 19, I was a 3 rd class passenger aboard the Titanic. I was traveling home to New Jersey after visiting my mum back in Ireland. I wasn t allowed to board a lifeboat so I jumped and swam to one because many were launched half empty. I was traveling with a couple of cousins and was asleep when the accident happened.
My name is Captain Edward John Smith. At the age of 62, I was the captain of the Titanic. I was traveling from Southhampton, England without my family. The sailing of the Titanic was going to be my last trip before retiring. Sailing the Titanic and the passengers aside the ocean was suppose to be the greatest adventure of my life. I will always be known as the Captain of the Titanic that lost so many lives when it sank. I did not board a lifeboat and they never found my body. That s my life as the Captain of the Titanic.
The Sage Family My name is Annie Sage. I was born in I am 44 years old. John Sage married me. I am a 3 rd class passenger. We left England for a chance to be richer. I died on April 15,1912 with my whole family. I was scared to be on the Titanic and in the water. I was traveling with my husband and nine children. I was scared when Titanic sank. The passageways were crowded making it hard to keep my family all together. If I had survived the disaster, I would wish I would be at home.
My name is William Mellors. At the age of 18 I traveled on the Titanic as a 2 nd class passenger. I was traveling from London, England to Staten Island to visit my cousin. I started to write postcards to my mom about the life on the magnificent ship. When I would ring a bell the waitress would come ready to do whatever I wished. I was forced to jump the ship after we hit the iceberg. I was sucked down under the water by a huge surge and lucky an explosion shot me up to the surface. Then I was rescued by Collabsible Lifeboat B.
My name is Millvina Dean, and I am from England. I was born on February 2, 1912 and was only 9 weeks old when I boarded Titanic with my parents and one-year-old brother. We were traveling 3 rd class. When Titanic struck the iceberg, it was difficult to get on deck to the lifeboats. My mom, my brother, and I were able to enter a boat. I was on lifeboat number 10. Newspapers called me the miracle baby. I was the youngest passenger aboard Titanic, and the last living survivor. I died Sunday May 31, 2009.
My name is Lucy, Lady Duff Gordon. At the age of 48, I was a 1 st class passenger aboard the Titanic going to New York. I was traveling with my husband, Sir Edmund Duff Gordon, and my secretary, Laura Mabel. My husband and I boarded the Titanic under the names of Mr. and Mrs. Morgan, so that we could get away the photographers waiting for me in New York. I was a poor seamstress before opening Maison Lucile in the ritzy part of London. This is where I met my husband and he introduced me to the royal families. Then I became the fashion designer who designed clothes for the British Royal Family. My husband and I got into Lifeboat 1.
My name is Master Hudson Trevor Allison. At the age of 11 months, I was a 1 st class passenger aboard the Titanic. I was traveling from Canada with my father, Mr. Hudson Allison, mother, Mrs. Bessie Allison, sister, Miss. Loraine Allison, nursemaid, Miss Alice Cleaver, and maid Miss Sarah Daniels. I was the only member of my family that boarded a lifeboat, it was Lifeboat 11. The rest of my family perished that night and I was raised by my aunt and uncle.
My name is Bessie Allison. At the age of 25, I was a 1 st class passenger aboard the Titanic. I was traveling from Montreal, Canada with my husband, Mr. Hudson Allison, daughter, Miss. Loraine Allison, son, Master Trevor Allison, nursemaid, Miss Alice Cleaver, and maid, Miss Sarah Daniels. We were on business trip in England and our son was baptized during the trip. I did not board a lifeboat that night and perished. My son was the only member of my family that survived because Miss. Cleaver boarded a lifeboat with him. My family and I would not board a lifeboat without finding Baby Trevor.
My name is First Officer William Murdoch. I was 39 when I was appointed to Titanic. I was married without children and aways prepared to go to sea whenever and wherever White Star Line needed me. When I spotted an iceberg, I said Iceberg ahead. I rang the warning bell until crash! The Titanic hit the iceberg! The Titanic was going to sink, Captain Smith said, Women and children first.
My name is Manca Karun. I am on the Titanic with my papa. We are 3 rd class passengers. I am 4 years old. My brothers and sisters are back home in Galesburg. My parents run a boarding house for railroad workers. I got in lifeboat 15. I was born in 1907, and died on September 17,1971. My papa and I survived, but we will never forget the tragedy on Titanic.
My name is John Phillips. I was 25 when I worked as the Senior Wireless Operator aboard the Titanic. I am from England. I was born on April 11, My Partner and I were the ship s only two wireless operators. We remained at our posts, tapping out a lot of messages to other ships when the water flooded the wireless room. Captain Smith finally released us by saying, It s every man for himself now. I did not survive.
My name is Edith Evans. At the age of 36, I was a 1 st class passenger aboard the Titanic. I was traveling to New York City, New York with my friend, Caroline Brown. When we got to the boat deck, there was only one spot left in Collabsible Lifeboat D which they were loading. I told Caroline to get into the lifeboat. I just knew that all 1 st class passenger ladies would be saved. Later I learned that Lifeboat D was the last lifeboat, so I jumped in the cold ocean water and sank as I tried to swim to a lifeboat.
My name is Bruce Ismay. At the age of 49, I was a 1 st class passenger aboard the Titanic. I was the managing director of the White Star Line and creator of the most magnificent ocean liner, Titanic. I was traveling from Cheshire, England with my servant, Mr. John Fry. Thomas Andrews, Titanic s architect and builder, was also traveling with me because he wanted to make sure that everything was fine during her maiden voyage. I boarded Collabsible Lifeboat C. Thomas Andrews did not leave the ship.
My name is Francis Millet. At the age of 65, I was a 1 st class passenger aboard the Titanic. My life has been full. I lived in Washington, D.C. I was a Union Army drummer boy during the Civil War, an artist, sculptor, writer, and friend of presidents, kings, and artists. Mark Twain was best man at my wedding. I didn t board a lifeboat that night and died in the icy cold North Atlantic Ocean.
