This recognition was conferred upon CSIA after it was appraised by the passengers themselves, in a year-long survey carried out by ACI, the trade association of the world s airports. GVK CSIA was also rated among the world s top airports in the million passenger category by the ASQ survey for the year 2015, thus making this the sixth consecutive year for being named among the world s top airports. These are among the prestigious accolades in the airport industry, voted by customers in the largest annual global airport customer satisfaction survey. The Skytrax World Airport Survey is widely regarded as a quality benchmark within the global airport industry, assessing customer service and facilities across 550 airports. A total of six teams participated and there were two junior teams as well comprising all the kids. The matches were played amidst a lot of fun and enthusiasm and the associates had a great time cheering for their teams. GVK TRANSPORTATION Training session at Deoli-Kota Expressway A training session was conducted for all the Security Guards at the Kishorpura toll plaza of the Deoli-Kota Expressway project. GVK HOSPITALITY Vivanta by Taj SHOOTOUT An exclusive Joy at Work activity was organized by Team HR at Vivanta by Taj. Associates from various departments participated wherein they had to hit a goal by striking the soft ball into the goal post. In all, eight teams participated and were named after a famous place of Hyderabad like Begumpet Steelbacks, Abids Aces, Secunderabad Sharks and Nampally Thunder. The teams Nampally Thunder and Begumpet Steelbacks made it to the finals and Begumpet Steelbacks clinched the title. Flower power The art of flower arrangement involves essential design principles of proportion, balance, contrast and harmony. And the housekeeping team of Taj Krishna seems to have perfected this. The team showcased beautiful flower arrangements in the hotel premises creating a very welcoming ambience for the guests. The one at the linking corridor grabbed many eyeballs. This would equip them to provide first-aid in case of any emergency involving guests or co-workers. Mr Hitendra Sharma, General Manager laid emphasis on the various safety measures that need to be adopted at the workplace. 5 GVK ONE Keep it pumping - an initiative by Novartis Keep it pumping is a global campaign initiated by Novartis to spread awareness about heart health and related ailments. And GVK ONE being one of the most preferred destinations in Hyderabad, housed a unique LEGO heart sculpture to apprise the citizens about heart health. It took more than five days to design the first heart sculpture made up of LEGO bricks and was built onsite at the NOVARTIS campus in Basel. The sculpture was launched in May 2015 to mark European Heart Failure Awareness Day at Basel. Six of these iconic anatomical heart sculptures were designed to increase global awareness about heart failure and have travelled across Mexico, Spain, England, Canada and the US among other countries. The heart sculpture on display in Hyderabad had arrived from Bratislava, Slovakia after display at the ESC 2015 Conference in London. GVK EMRI spreads awareness The 104 Health Help Line participated in the National Consumer Rights Day organized by the Citizen Consumer Club of Chevalier T. Thomas Elizabeth College for women in Tamil Nadu. The 104 team highlighted various services available through the helpline. They had set-up a stall and issued pamphlets and fliers to spread awareness and also provided counseling services. GVK EMRI Team 104 participates in Road Safety Program Team 104, Tamil Nadu addressed students from St Antony Matriculation Higher Sec. School about various road safety measures. Personnel from Thiruvanmiyur, Neelangarai and Kottivakkam Regional Transport Office were also among the attendees. Team 104 explained about the various services offered like health advice, counseling and service improvement.

Earth Hour (25 March) Earth Hour is the world s largest demonstration of support for action on climate change. Organized by World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the event is held annually encouraging individuals, communities, households and businesses from over 7000 cities globally to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour, from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. as a symbol for their commitment to the planet. Earth Hour is scheduled on the last Saturday of every March closely coinciding with the equinox to ensure most cities are in darkness as it is rolled out around the world. Gudi Padwa (28 March) Gudi Padwa is celebrated as the first day of the year by Maharashtrians and Konkanis of the Deccan region in India. Gudi Padwa is the Marathi New Year and is celebrated on the first day of the Chaitra month to mark the beginning of the New Year. In Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, Gudi Padwa is known as Ugadi and is celebrated on the same day.
