2 The Bury Grammar Schools Transport Regulations The Bury Grammar Schools are proud of the coach services we run with our coach provider and a lot of care has been taken to provide a safe, quality service. We ask that pupils use the transport respectfully. Our absolute priority is to keep all our pupils who use the service safe so some of the clauses below are specifically about this. In addition, we will check pupil bus passes so that we ensure, in the interest of fairness to honest families, that only those paying for the service can use the service. 1. All pupils must carry their coach pass at all times and produce it on request. If you lose your pass please contact the Bursar s office ( or by bursarsinfo@burygrammar.com) and a replacement will be issued. You may be refused travel if you are not able to produce your pass when requested. 2. Places on the route are for paying passengers only. In order to avoid overloading, pupils are asked not to take friends home on this service, unless they have pre booked a single journey. 3. Passes s h o u l d b e s h own t o t h e d r i ve r wh e n b o a r d i n g t h e c o a ch. Pupils who have no pass or paid reservation will be asked to leave the coach and we will inform the parents of these pupils. In these circumstances pupils will be banned from using the coaches in future and parents will be asked to pay for any journeys taken by the pupil. 4. CCTV may be in operation on the coaches. This is for monitoring purposes. 5. For the safety of all the passengers using this service we would request that pupils remain seated during the journey and wear the seatbelts where provided. 6. Any pupil found to be abusive to the driver, their fellow pupils, or expressing behaviour deemed to be detrimental to the safety of their fellow passengers, will not be allowed to use this service. 7. Any vehicle damage will be invoiced accordingly and the pupil suspended from using the coach. 8. Pupils are not permitted to consume food or drink whilst travelling on the coach unless by specific arrangement. (this includes chewing/bubble gum) 9. Pupils must inform the Bursar s office if they change their designated stop, as detailed on the coach pass.
