1 Booking Information - Catered Chalets Please read this information carefully as it contains important information about the holiday you have booked and describes the service you can expect in your catered chalet it also describes the other services we provide We aim to maintain high quality levels across our chalets with fixed menus and standard working procedures for all our staff this means we deliver a consistent holiday experience wherever you go. This document describes our standards but if you want something slightly different, just talk to the sales team in advance and we will see what we can do! Please note, however, that changes can only be made when they are agreed in advance as chalet staff do not have any flexibility to make changes in resort. 3 Information we need and how to tell us Party Names, Ages and Dietary Requirements We need to have full information of each member of your party - there are a number of ways to let us have this: You can update individual items on our reservation system directly using the MySkiAmis section as detailed below Please call or us with all the information we don t mind how we receive the information whichever is easiest and most convenient for you. Please note that if you have any special requests, including dietary requirements, then you MUST us separately with these so we can check what we can do and prepare what is needed in advance. Room Allocation We need to know which room each party member will be occupying in advance so the chalet hosts can prepare rooms ready for each person s arrival in the right order. It also avoids chaos on arrival at the chalet as you can be shown straight to the right rooms. If you do not provide us with a room allocation, we will make one for you but this may not be as you would like! Feel free to switch rooms with other members of your group after you ve arrived but chalet hosts can only allow changes to the allocation once the party leader has arrived. Travel Arrangements Most guests will make their travel arrangements through us (airport transfers, rail tickets or cross channel tickets) however if you are arranging your own travel, we will still need to know your arrangements so we can efficiently plan on the arrival day (we track flights and road conditions so we can predict if you will be delayed and take the necessary action regarding meals etc.). MySkiAmis Our reservation system has a private area for all our current guests where you can make changes, updates and additions to your booking. You will have been sent your user ID (which is your address) and a password with your holiday confirmation. You can access this area by clicking on MySkiAmis from the homepage of our website or using the link in your confirmation and you will be able to: Update the names and dates of birth for your party Create invoice groups which allow each family to book their ski passes, lessons and equipment rental separately this can be a bit complicated so if you have difficulty with using the system please let us know and we will create them for you Book your own ski passes, lessons and equipment rental or for the whole group (if you prefer not to divide into invoice groups) View your current invoice balances Make payments against your invoice only the group leader can pay the holiday balance but individual families and groups can pay their resort services balance If you have any difficulty using our on-line system or would prefer us to make updates for you, then simply give us a call or us instead Page 3 of 18

4 Your Chalet and Holiday Arrangements Please find below the following sections about what your holiday includes: Catering service Bed linen, towels and room facilities Arrival and departure arrangements Sauna and/or hot-tub facilities (where provided) Honesty bar WIFI TV and DVD facilities Books and games Catering Service Accommodation is provided on a catered chalet basis which includes the following meals in all chalets: 7 days breakfast with the option of a full English breakfast every day except on staff day off when a self-service buffet will be provided and a floating chalet host will be available to help you 7 days afternoon tea (self-service as above on staff day off) 6 days three course evening meal with bottled wine during the meal Tea and coffee facilities on demand (self-service) In our "Premium Service" chalets (Elliot, Lea, Balkiss, Sermoz, Nadine, Anniek, Irene and Jasmine) you will also be provided with pre-dinner drinks, canapés, after-dinner liqueurs with coffee and chocolates plus an additional cheeseboard course following the evening meal. Premium service breakfast also includes freshly baked croissants. The catered chalet is a hosted service which means it includes a chalet host or couple who will take care of your needs during your stay. The host will prepare your meals and will normally eat with you in the evenings in a dinner party type of environment and of course they will clear up afterwards! On the chalet day off, a neighbouring chalet host will visit to ensure you have all you need for breakfast and will ensure the afternoon tea cake is available. There is no cooked breakfast available on day off. The covering host will also clear up for you after breakfast and afternoon tea. In the evening, you will need to eat in a local restaurant we have all the local menus available for you to choose from in the chalet and your hosts can help you with making a reservation if needed. Unfortunately, we cannot allow takeaway food to be consumed in the chalet and guests are not allowed to use the chalet kitchens. Breakfast Menu We offer a wide choice of breakfast items including the option of a full cooked English breakfast. The breakfast menu is as follows: Orange juice, Tetley tea and coffee Selection of cereals Fresh fruit apples and oranges Natural yoghurt Traditional Porridge (Quaker Oats) - to order French bread freshly baked Page 4 of 18

5 Toast Jams, spreads and marmalade Eggs (to order) boiled, poached, scrambled or fried Full English Breakfast your choice from the following items, orders taken the evening before and cooked freshly each morning: o Irish recipe pork breakfast sausage o Back bacon o Fried tomato or Heinz baked beans o Fried bread or slice of toast o Mushrooms Meal Times Meals will normally be served at the following approximate times: Breakfast Afternoon Tea Children s Meal Evening Meal 08h00 to 09h00 From 16h00 (later as the season progresses) 18h00 (flexible depending on children s ages) 19h30 On the chalet host day off, you have a choice of the local restaurants which we are happy to book for you on request a selection of local menus are in the chalet to help you decide and our sales team also has a copy if you would prefer to book before your arrival. Child meals for 3-12 year olds For 3 12 year olds we automatically provide the children s menu, regardless of whether you have paid an adult or child price. If you would like your child to eat adult meals (at the same time as the adults), you need to book this at least one week in advance with us if you have paid a reduced child price then you will need to pay a 100 supplement. This upgrade is only available in certain chalets and rooms. Important please note that upgrade is only possible in advance as chalet hosts will not be able to make any adjustments locally as they will not have the ingredients available. Infants aged 2 years and under Where an infant 2 years and under is included in the booking without having booked a standard priced bed, you will have paid a 150 supplement which includes the provision of a cot and high chair. We cannot provide any specific baby food or formula, so please bring this with you if needed. You may take some of the adult meal each evening and liquidise it for your infant, and a microwave is available for you to heat bottles. Alternatively, your infant can eat small portions of the child menu with the other children but please let us know if you wish to request this. We have a limited supply of other equipment in each resort - such as baby baths and potties - please let us know in advance if you require this. Dietary Requirements We have a fixed menu so chalet staff do not have flexibility to alter menus where we are not informed of these requests at least one week in advance of your arrival. We will do our best to comply with any reasonable requests you have but reserve the right to make an additional charge if your requirements are complex or require particular special ingredients. 6 Planning Manager will make contact with you to discuss any complicated requests as these need to be feasible within the scope of our fixed menu and available kitchen resources. The standard menu variations we can offer are as follows the supplements take into consideration the additional ingredients required and the work involved for the chalet hosts. Vegetarian A complete Vegetarian menu is provided with all meals containing meat or meat products replaced with vegetarian alternatives aligned with the main menu free of charge No Red Meat A combination of the vegetarian and main menu meals using chicken and turkey will be provided but beef, lamb and pork are replaced with the vegetarian option free of charge No Pork or No Lamb these are common requests and built into our automatic system. You will be provided with the vegetarian options on the appropriate days free of charge No Fish Our menu does not currently contain fish however in the event a fish dish is introduced then an alternative would be provided free of charge Diabetic Suitable for type 2 diabetics - white bread is replaced with sliced brown bread and we also provide sugar free jam, artificial sweetener, yoghurts and fruit alternatives for cakes and desserts. For Insulin dependent/type 1 diabetics, the guest will be required to manage their own intake according to their medical advice, we do not count carbohydrate intake or measure portions which remain the guests responsibility at all times - supplement 10 per person No Alcohol complimentary bottled sparkling water or soft drinks are provided during the evening meal in the place of wine for the non-alcohol drinker free of charge but please advise us of your preferred drink in advance of your holiday Gluten Free menus are adjusted to use corn flour in place of wheat flour in sauces, we use gluten free stock cubes, gluten free pasta is provided, cakes and bread are replaced with rice cakes and gluten free bread products, we also make some freshly baked gluten free cakes (not a different one each day, but several options during the week), desserts containing gluten are replaced with yoghurt, sorbet or fruit based options supplement 30 per person Lactose Free Menus are adjusted to remove the lactose product. We provide soya milk, soya cream, soya yoghurts and dairy free spread. Dairy-free margarine is used in place of butter in recipes (where feasible) to maintain the normal menu options as much as possible. Fruit alternatives and non-dairy sorbet are offered in place of some deserts. Cheese is replaced with alternative options depending on the recipe supplement 30 per person Soya Milk Only For guests who do not require a complete lactose free menu but prefer soya milk only soya milk will be provided and none of the other dairy free products free of charge Vegan Menus are adjusted to remove all animal products, including dairy and eggs. A complete menu which is a combination of the vegetarian and lactose free options is provided supplement 50 per person Page 6 of 18

If you have ANY other requirements than those details above this MUST be personally discussed with us - we will do our best to comply with requests where we can but this may not always be possible or may incur an additional charge. Wine We serve a selection of wines with each evening meal which are unlimited during the meal itself. Our staff will open the wine as the starter is served and will top up until the dessert is served. We serve a reasonable quality bottled table wine included with your holiday for this season our wines are as follows (although these may change subject to availability): Red Montplo Rouge (IGP Pays d Hérault) Red La Roches Bleues Rouge (IGP Pays d Oc) White Le Bosq Blanc (Vin de France) Rose Mas du Canal Rose (IGP Pays d Oc) Please ask us if you would like the full detailed information of our table wines. Wine Upgrades and Extras If you would like additional table wine before or after your meal, this is available to purchase from your chalet hosts at the price of 7.50 per bottle. We also have an extensive supplementary wine list, from which you can order wine, sparkling wines and champagne of all standards as well as a selection of craft beers prices are based on the wholesale price from our suppliers, including VAT and delivery to your chalet. Orders must be placed and paid for at least one week in advance of arrival and your order will be available at your chalet when you arrive. Please let us know if you would like to see the list and prices. Bed Linen, Towels and Room Facilities Bed linen and towels are provided in your room each person is provided with a bath towel and a hand towel. In premium service chalets, the bath towels are larger and you will also be provided with an additional large sports towel for use with the hot-tub and a facecloth. Towels are automatically changed mid-week, or upon request to your hosts, at any reasonable time. Unfortunately, there are no laundry facilities available for guests in the chalets. Hairdryers are available in our premium service chalets only for a 20 deposit (you will get this back at the end of the week upon return of the hairdryer in good condition we are sorry we do have to charge a deposit, but these do tend to find their way into guests luggage by accident if we don t!). Chalet Nadine has fixed hotel-type hairdryers in each bathroom and does not require a deposit. If you are staying in a standard service chalet, please ensure you bring your own hairdryer. Bathrooms and toilets have liquid hand soap dispensers provided in all chalets - premium service chalets include a welcome mini toiletry pack with soap, shampoo/conditioner and body lotion from Elsyl. 8 The chalet hosts will clean your bathroom on a daily basis and will clean the public areas of the chalet (living room and general use WC) on a daily basis, except on staff day off. If you prefer your chalet hosts not to enter your room, then you can make this request on arrival. Arrival and Departure Your holiday starts at 17h00 and with afternoon tea on your arrival Saturday and finishes at 09h00 after breakfast on your departure Saturday. Normal Arrival Times (Saturdays) The normal check in time is between 17h00 and 22h00 you will be asked to complete an online check-in form on arrival which will include an address and contact number for each room. You will automatically be sent a welcome which includes useful information for your stay, including emergency numbers and we also share any emergency information from the resort operators during your stay. In addition we will send you our feedback questionnaire at the end of your holiday. If you wish to unsubscribe from further s from us, there is an unsubscribe link on every which will permanently remove you from our mailing list. We do not share your information with anybody outside of Ski Amis for any reason. Early Arrival (Saturdays) For early arrivals (before 17h00), we are able to provide luggage storage in our boot rooms but cannot guarantee availability of rooms or shower facilities before 17h00. If you are planning to ski on your arrival day, your ski passes will be available to collect any time from 08h30 onwards and, if you wish, you may use the boot room to change. If you are planning to arrive very early (for example from the overnight rail services), please be sensitive to other guests who are still enjoying their holiday from the previous week as they may still be in bed or enjoying their breakfast. For this reason, we unfortunately cannot allow you any access to the chalet before 08h30 and no access beyond the ski and boot room until 17h00. If you are travelling on overnight rail services, we recommend waiting in the valley town to have breakfast before coming up the mountain as there are no facilities open in resort for you to wait there are restaurants open from early in the morning close to the stations. If you are planning an early arrival, we recommend changing into ski clothes before arriving at the chalet or if this is not possible that you make sure the clothes you need are easily accessible at the top of your suitcase. Late Arrivals (Saturdays) We can accept arrivals at the chalet until 22h00 on Saturday and will provide you with an evening meal on arrival up until this time. Of course, in exceptional circumstances where there are general flight or traffic delays beyond anyone s control when we will do whatever is necessary to ensure you can get to your chalet but you must ensure your travel arrangements are scheduled in such a way that you will normally arrive by this time. Arrival on Days Other Than Saturday Our normal welcome procedures will not be possible on days other than Saturday due to days off and working hours of the staff. Non-Saturday arrivals are only possible between 08h00 and 10h00 or after 16h30 unless you are part of a larger group and a member of your own party is available to give you access to the chalet. 9 Departure We ask you to vacate your room by 09h00 on the departure day to allow the chalets hosts to prepare for the newly arriving guests. If you are planning to ski on your departure day, no shower, toilet or bedroom facilities will be available to you after 09h00 although we will be able to offer luggage storage and an area to change by prior arrangement (usually the ski/boot room or sauna area). Sauna and Hot-Tub Facilities (where provided) You are free to use the sauna and/or hot-tub facility in your chalet during your stay at your own risk. The facilities will normally be ready for your return from skiing in the afternoons and switched off again just before the evening meal. Please talk to your chalet hosts if you wish to use the facilities at other times although this will generally not be possible as the water temperature can only be maintained in the Alpine conditions for a short period of time. All guests are requested to read the rules posted in the chalet concerning the use of the sauna and hot-tub these rules are there for safety reasons to avoid any unnecessary accidents. In particular, children are not allowed to use the hot-tub unless supervised by an adult member of your party and you must refrain from fiddling with the hot-tub controls as this will impact the proper functioning of the equipment. We take the safety and cleanliness of our hot-tubs very seriously! Our hot-tub water is changed every week so you will have fresh water on arrival. For this reason, the hot-tub may not be available until Sunday for use by guests as it takes approximately 24 hours to reach the correct water temperature. The chemical balance is checked two or three times a day by the chalet hosts and recorded in our log (which you are welcome to see at any time on request to your chalet host or resort manager). Unless you are staying in a premium service chalet where additional hot-tub towels are provided, you may wish to bring a swimming towel with you - don t forget to pack your swimsuit as well! Although we will do our very best to ensure that the hot-tubs and saunas are fully functional during your stay, unfortunately these facilities are prone to technical issues (often caused by guests trying to adjust the controls, as mentioned above!) and we cannot accept any claims in the event they are out of service for part or all of your holiday. Honesty Bar and Additional Drinks An honesty bar is operated in the chalet with drinks for purchase at very reasonable prices: Bottled Beer 1.50 Coke 1.50 Coke Zero 1.50 Lemonade 1.50 Tonic Water 2.00 Mineral Water 1.50 Sparking Water 2.00 Mars Bar 1.50 Haribo Sweets 1.00 Table Wine (red, white or rose) 7.50 You are welcome to bring your own spirits or stronger drinks but these must be kept in your room when not being used. We would politely request you not to bring your own beer or mixers into the chalet as our prices are reasonable and we are a licenced facility just like a pub or Page 9 of 18

10 restaurant! Consumption of your own drinks on the premises is not allowed as this contravenes our restaurant licence (this only applies to wine, beer and soft drinks as we are not licenced to sell spirits). If you have any particular requests concerning the content of the honesty bar, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you (subject to products being available locally). We do also offer a wine upgrade list and a selection of craft beers which can be pre-ordered for delivery to your chalet. Ask us for the latest list! Wireless Internet Connection (Wi-Fi) Our chalets have a Wi-Fi broadband internet connection which is available for free use but bear in mind this is a shared connection and in a remote area so will not be as reliable or fast as the connection at home we cannot accept any responsibility if the connection does not work as it should, or is not available as there are frequent periods of downtime in the mountains. If a reliable connection is important to you, we would recommend you arrange your own 3G or 4G mobile connection as these networks are generally better than the traditional broadband connections. In Chalet Entertainment All chalets have a TV and a DVD player and most have Freeview satellite TV (see the chalet information on our website for information of what is available in the chalet you have booked). You should bring your own favourite DVD s with you. All our chalets have a small supply of fiction books and board games you are also welcome to bring your own favourites of course! If you wish to exchange books, we are more than happy for you to do this. Unfortunately, the chalet internet connections are not good enough to allow for streaming of video content, therefore if you wish to stream films or TV programmes during your stay, you would need to do this using your own internet connection. Booking Administration Balance Payments If your holiday has been booked more than 10 weeks before your departure, you will have paid us a deposit on booking. Payment of the final balance is normally due 10 weeks before departure and this date is shown, along with the various payment methods, at the foot of the invoice. Some early booking discount schemes may have an earlier payment date please see your invoice for details. Any travel services added (such as transfers or channel crossings) will be added to your account and will fall due for payment with the rest of your balance. Bookings for rail travel are payable immediately on reservation in full. Payments for services in resort (such as lift passes, lessons or equipment rental) are invoiced separately in euros and are due for payment just before your holiday. Please note the Page 10 of 18

11 payment must be in euros by credit or debit card we cannot convert euro invoices to sterling as this will be done by your bank when you make payment. We will send an automatic reminder when your balance is due, together with the latest copy of your invoice showing the outstanding amount. Payments may be made by: Debit card or credit card (for sterling or euro payments) over the phone or online via your MySkiAmis account for holiday and travel balances in sterling. There are no handling charges for payments by card. Bank transfer (for sterling payments only) all the bank details you will need to do this can be found at the foot of the invoice. Please ensure you include the last four digits of the booking reference and the surname of the group leader as a reference on the transfer to allow us to trace the payment and us at finance@skiamis.com to confirm you have made payment. If your holiday has been booked later than 10 weeks before your departure date you will have paid the full balance on booking. The details of what has been paid will appear on your invoice and if you add any further services, these will be charged and due for payment as they are booked. It is your responsibility as group leader to ensure that balances are paid on time and if you wish to split the balance payment for the group across multiple credit cards or bank transfers, we request you provide us with a list of the payments which will be made so we can keep track. Any member of your group (to whom you give your password) can log on to the MySkiAmis area and pay their part of the balance. Bonding and Financial Protection As a member of the Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Limited (ABTOT), an Association approved by the Department of Trade and Industry, Ski Amis Ltd has provided a Bond (number 5009) to meet the requirements of the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tour Regulations 1992 in respect of non-flight inclusive packages. This Bond provides security for money paid over by customers and for the repatriation of customers in the event of Ski Amis insolvency. Repatriation will only be provided if the travel component of your trip was paid to us. If you have any questions concerning the bond which is providing financial protection for your holiday, please do not hesitate to contact us. Terms and Conditions of Booking All reservations are subject to our standard Terms and Conditions of Booking, a copy of which is included with your holiday confirmation. Printed copies are available at any time from our office and the conditions can also be found on our website. By making this booking, you are confirming that you have read and accept the Terms and Conditions on behalf of all members of your party. In particular, please note that deposits are not refundable in any circumstances in the case of cancellation for any reason and further cancellation fees will be levied if cancellation is later than 10 weeks before your holiday (see our full conditions for details of the charges made). An administration charge will be payable for any booking changes. Page 11 of 18

12 Ski Passes, Lessons, Childcare and Equipment Rental We simplify your whole arrival process by making sure everything is ready in advance of your holiday to make the day hassle free for everyone. If you have booked a holiday with us under any sort of discount/offer scheme, you are required to book your ski passes with us as part of the package, but all other services are optional. We urge you to make use of our free pre-booking service for: Lift Passes waiting in the chalet for you on arrival and never more expensive than you can find in resort. From time to time, we have special promotions which you can t find elsewhere see our website for details or call our sales team who will always calculate the cheapest option for you. Equipment Rental we offer discounted of between 40-60% from the public rates with a price match guarantee for when the suppliers have special offers running Childcare pre-booked and taken care of on our priority booking system at the local crèche facilities we can also offer advice on private nanny services where required Lessons we have access to the best instructors and class sizes due to our relationships with the local ski schools and we offer both ESF and private school options We will contact you soon after your holiday is booked to add these services to your account however payment is not due until just before your holiday and you can make changes as you need to until just before arrival. All services in resort are charged in euros exactly the same as if you purchased direct in resort, so you can watch the exchange rates and pay when it suits you rather than being stuck with the rate on your arrival day. Payments can be made by credit card or debit card online or by calling our sales team. We will send you a reminder when the payment is due and payments must be made before your arrival, even if it is just the day before as the chalet staff do not have the facility to process payments when you arrive. How to book resort services? We will shortly send you our resort information pack with details and prices of all the available options have a browse through at your leisure and decide what you need to book. We will contact you shortly to give you any help you may need and to take your booking or if you already know what you need you can book either online using your MySkiAmis account, or by giving us a call or . It is advisable to book as soon as possible in particular ski schools are booked up very early for peak dates, sometimes a year in advance, so don t delay! Although it may seem a long time until your holiday, it makes the whole process much more efficient and we ideally need to have everything finalised 2-3 weeks before your holiday at the latest to avoid last minute phone calls and hassling you. You can easily change things up until a few days before your holiday (except for ski schools, where their cancellation terms will apply) so you don t need to worry that by booking you are committed in stone! Changes and cancellations for lift passes and equipment rental can be made any time up until the Tuesday before your departure or later in some cases in the event of a holiday cancellation or emergency. 13 Travel Arrangements We are able to offer a comprehensive travel service and by booking your travel arrangements through us you also benefit from it being covered as a package by our bond for your financial security. Your travel arrangements booked with us will be shown on your holiday confirmation. Transfer Service Already booked your transfers with us? The details we have of your flights or rail service will be shown on your confirmation - we will schedule your transfer based on this time which is the local time of arrival at or departure from the airport in France/Switzerland. On arrival at the airport or station, our driver will be waiting for you at the arrivals gate, wearing a bright blue and yellow jacket, and holding a "Ski Amis" sign - so you should easily find your driver! Occasionally, we may need to outsource transfers to a third party company in which case the driver will be waiting in arrivals holding a board with your party lead name. In the event of any problems, please call our transfer desk on (UK number directly to our arrivals desk) where someone will be able to help you on changeover days. In the event of ANY flight or train delays, it is essential you contact one of the above numbers as soon as possible to advise us and to discuss any alternative arrangements which may be necessary for your transfer. If you do not call us, then we may not be able to provide your transfer at all and you will need to make your own arrangements to get to resort we cannot keep other guests waiting indefinitely when we do not have information to base our planning decisions on. We do track all arriving flights as far as possible however at some airports this information is not easily available and we rely on your call. Please see our terms and conditions for the full conditions of our transfer service If you have not yet provided us with your flight/rail details, it is essential that you do this as soon as your flights/trains are booked as we cannot schedule your transfer without these. Passengers making last minute bookings or providing flight information late will have to fit with the existing schedule which may mean a longer than usual wait at the airport. We provide a fully licenced, shared transfer service from Grenoble or Geneva airports in our fleet of minibuses on Saturday changeover days we can also provide dedicated private transfers either with our own minibuses or using an approved external supplier (for example coach services for large groups) on Saturdays or any other day of the week. 14 Rail Travel If you have booked rail tickets with us, your rail travel booking will be found on your confirmation invoice and your detailed itinerary and tickets will be delivered to you directly from Rail Europe - you should receive them shortly. Please check the tickets carefully when they arrive and let us know of any problems. If you have not yet booked your rail tickets, but plan to travel by train, there are various rail travel options to the Alps: Eurostar Direct Ski Trains from London St Pancras, stopping at Ashford International and then travelling directly to the Alps. Both Saturday daytime and Friday/Saturday overnight services are available guideline price from 149 per person return (off-peak) but subject to quotation as they can vary considerably according to availability and the date of travel Indirect Services if you wish to travel at other times or are unable to get seats on the direct services above, it is possible to travel easily via Paris or Lille to the Alps using a combination of Eurostar services and SNCF TGV services. Prices and routes vary considerably according to availability and dates of travel so please contact us for a quotation. Prices and full timetables are only available 60 days before departure Our prices for rail travel are usually similar to the public rates however, some of our tickets have preferential booking conditions which allow you to change tickets or get a refund in the event of cancellation up until very close to your holiday (ask us for these terms if it is important to you as this may not be the cheapest option which we will normally offer you). By booking with us as part of a package, your travel arrangements then fall under our bond with ABTOT so you have the financial security of the entire package. Rail Transfers Whether you book your rail tickets with us, or independently, we are able to provide transfers from the railway stations to our chalets the service operates until 10h00 in the morning and after 17h00 in the evening which fits with all the direct Eurostar services and many of the indirect trains. The price is 35 per person return, with a minimum charge of 2 people. Self-Drive Channel Crossings for Self-Drive If you choose to drive, we are able to offer ferry crossings with P&O from Dover to Calais or Eurotunnel crossings. Our prices are normally less than the public price but are subject to quotation as rates vary according to your date and time of travel. Please contact us for a quotation. In addition, our ferry tickets are fully flexible so you are able to cross on the next available ferry after arrival at the port without any surcharges invaluable on your return journey when being stuck with the 2 hour window on standard public tickets can mean you end up paying more unless you pay the huge prices offered for flexibility!! Already booked your Channel Crossing with us? For self-drivers who have booked a channel crossing with us, your crossing voucher and other useful information about driving to the Alps will be with your confirmation please ensure you have the voucher when you arrive at the terminal as you will need the reference number Page 14 of 18

15 in order to collect your tickets. The details of what has been booked will be shown on your confirmation. For ferry crossings, you must arrive at the check-in desk at the terminal at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time - if you arrive at a different time you will be rescheduled onto the next available ferry without any surcharges. If you are requested to make an additional payment at the port, you should refuse and inform the P&O staff member that you have an MITX flexible ticket this does occasionally happen as the terms of our tickets are different from those purchased by the public. When arriving at the port, make sure you allow additional time to clear customs/passport control before arriving at the check-in desk. Security at both sides of the channel has been elevated and this can take some time to pass. If you have made a Eurotunnel booking, or you have made your own ferry crossing booking, please note that your tickets are normally only valid for crossing within two hours either side of the booked time (unless you have specifically booked and paid the supplement for a flexiticket). Travel outside of this window will incur additional costs which must be paid at the terminal. Finding your chalet Just before your holiday, we will send you a final details which will include directions to your chalet, and the GPS co-ordinates of where you are going. Please be aware that many of the resorts are not found accurately using your Sat Nav as you will often be sent on small roads that are closed during the winter months because of the snow! Location via French postcodes is also very inaccurate as each postcode covers a massive area so is not suitable for pinpointing your destination. We strongly advise that you follow at least the local instructions we provide rather than attempting to use your navigation system switch your Sat Nav off at Moutiers or you may have a very interesting journey!!! We request self-drivers to call our arrivals desk on (UK number direct to the arrivals desk) when you reach the following points: Going to La Tania call from Moutiers when passing the Super U supermarket Going to Les Menuires call from the village of St Martin de Belleville which is half way up the mountain Going to La Plagne Montalbert call from the town of Aime Going to Peisey Vallandry or La Plagne Montchavin call from the village of Landry This call is IMPERITIVE as all of our chalets have door entry codes, and our resort managers travel around each resort greeting guests, so if we know when you will be arriving then we can ensure that your holiday doesn t begin stuck outside the chalet door and that someone will be there to greet you. Car Parking Parking is available in the resort close to all our chalets. In La Tania, there is a large outdoor public car park at the entrance to the resort which is free of charge. You can drive your vehicle to the chalet to unload your luggage and leave your car in the car park for the week. We request that you do not leave your car outside the chalets themselves because the access needs to be kept clear for deliveries with our own vehicles and for access in an emergency. In addition, snow Page 15 of 18

16 clearing to the chalet is for the purposes of pedestrian access only and if it snows hard, you will be snowed in. We do not accept any responsibility for damage to vehicles left at our properties or in the public car park. In Bruyeres (Les Menuires), there is free public parking throughout the village and if you are lucky you may find a space outside the chalets parking is on a first come first serve basis and cannot be pre-booked. You can pull up outside the chalet entrance to unload and then find a space to park. In Bettaix (Les Menuires), there is private parking outside each of the chalets for several cars. For Chalet Anniek, we have some dedicated parking spaces right outside the chalet door which are on a first come, first serve basis. For Chalet Sermoz, there is a small free car park opposite the chalet and more parking a little further down the road. For La Plagne Montchavin, there is a car park at the entrance to the village for both Chalet Dolomites and Chalet Nadine. Flight Search We don't sell flights ourselves but we can research flight possibilities on your behalf if you wish when combined with our transfer service. Insurance Arrangements By booking with us, you are confirming that you have adequate insurance arrangements in place to cover the specific needs of the holiday you have booked it is YOUR responsibility to make sure you are properly insured, and to decide what cover you need, we are unable to advise you in this respect. If you have annual travel insurance arrangements, you must ensure it extends to winter sports cover and that it will cover the travel arrangements you have made. If you do not already have travel insurance, one option you might consider is the winter sports policy offered by ski insurance specialists MPI Brokers you can find details of their policy at It is your responsibility to check that the policy satisfies your needs, and we do not recommend any particular insurer. We recommend taking an insurance policy in your home country to cover all aspects of your holiday as in the event of an injury, your home insurance company will have all the necessary facilities in place to deal with local hospitals and medical facilities in the right language on your behalf to a technical level. Carre Neige Carre Neige is a basic insurance available with your ski pass but it will only cover you being lifted from the piste and basic cover - you will have to communicate in French to deal with the Page 17 of 18

18 arrangements locally. We will add this to ski passes booked with us on request but will automatically assume you have alternative arrangements in place unless you request otherwise. Risks to consider. Although each individual has different requirements, some points to consider when comparing insurance policies would be: In the event of an injury or being unable to ski, does your insurance cover the cost of your ski pack (ski pass, equipment and lessons)? Once these have been taken in resort, they cannot be refunded as the suppliers do not accept cancellations during the holiday. In the event of a flight delay, will your insurance cover the various elements of your travel arrangements? For example, the cost of another connecting flight or the additional cost of a transfer due to significant delays? In the event of a missed flight due to weather or unforeseen traffic conditions, does your insurance policy cover the cost of booking a replacement flight and transfer? Does your insurance company have direct settlement arrangements with the hospital and piste rescue services or do you have to settle the bills yourself and claim back? Piste rescue can be very expensive if it is from a remote location and dealing with hospital administration can be difficult. Does your insurance cover off-piste skiing? Does your insurance cover use of snow parks? Some policies exclude this as ski acrobatics! Does your insurance cover damage or theft of rented ski equipment? The ski shops can provide some limited cover on request but this may exclude certain top levels of skis. Does your insurance cover your deposit in the event of redundancy? In today s economic climate many people are delaying booking their holiday as they are concerned about their job security but most good policies should insure you against this. Is your insurance in place from the day you book your holiday to ensure you have cover in case you need to cancel your holiday for any unforeseen reason? This list is not meant to be exhaustive but may help you to think about the eventualities you need to cover on your policy. EHIC In addition to your travel insurance, we also strongly recommend that you obtain a European Health card (EHIC) prior to departure which will assist with medical cover in Europe and will work alongside your insurance policy. Many insurance companies will look to recover costs from the EHIC and you may find it is a requirement of the policy that you are in possession of this card. If you are hospitalised, the hospital will ask you for an EHIC which will cover a significant portion of the hospital bill automatically.
