2 What are the Scottish Hotel Awards? The Scottish Hotel Awards, founded in 2003 to recognise, reward and encourage hospitality excellence in Scotland, are known as the national Hotel Oscars. As Scotland s leading independent Hotel awards, they are the only independently assessed recognition programme for both hotels and people of excellence. The awards generate significant exposure for hotel winners, and provide customers with an informed choice of the best that Scotland has to offer.
