2 The Burj Khalifa The Burj Khalifa is a ground-breaking feat of architecture and engineering, with two observation decks on the 124th and 148th floors and a restaurant-bar on the 122nd. The world s tallest building pierces the sky at 828m (seven times the height of Big Ben) and opened on 4 January 2010, only six years after excavations began. Up to 13,000 workers toiled day and night, putting up a new floor in as little as three days. World Records: At over 828 metres (2,716.5 feet) and more than 160 stories, Burj Khalifa holds the Dubai Marina Dubai Marina is a district in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Dubai Marina is an artificial canal city, built along a two mile stretch of Persian Gulf shoreline. When the entire development is complete, it will accommodate more than 120,000 people in residential towers and villas. Burj Al Arab Burj Al Arab (Tower of the Arabs) is a luxury hotel located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It has been called The world s only 7 star Hotel and is the third tallest hotel in the world.
