1 Harris Teeter Together In Education WE THINK GREEN Official Rules Effective March 13, 2009 through June 1, 2009, these Official Rules govern the Harris Teeter Together In Education (TIE) We Think Green Program. Harris Teeter reserves the right to make changes to these Official Rules at any time. Please check for any updates or changes. Your participation in the Harris Teeter TIE We Think Green Program indicates acceptance of these Official Rules. Eligibility The Harris Teeter We Think Green Program is open to any accredited public or private school that is participating in Harris Teeter s Together In Education school fund raising program, based on the TIE Rules and Regulations (rules can be found at ), containing any class with students from Kindergarten to 12th grade, within the Harris Teeter trade area that is organized and primarily operated for educational purposes. We Think Green- Program Rules The We Think Green Program provides your school the chance to earn cash by collecting plastic shopping bags and recycling them at Harris Teeter. Bags from any store will be included in this program, not only Harris Teeter shopping bags. Items that will NOT qualify are items such as bubble wrap, shrink wrap and other industrial plastics, judged by a Harris Teeter Store Manager as disqualified. -How the bag count will work, you must use a 30 gallon plastic bag to collect your individual bags in. Every 30 gallon plastic bag that your school fills will equal 1 bin. -Your school should select one (1) Harris Teeter store for the bag drop off; this will be the ONLY store your school will use for the entire length of the program. Harris Teeter stores will keep a bag log for each school. The store will submit the submission forms at the end of the 4 weeks. How the contest will work: The 5 schools that collect the most bins in each of our 3 regions will win. Region breakdown will be available on our web-site. There will be a 1st, 2 nd,3 rd, 4 th and 5 th place prize winner. Prizes are 1st place will receive $1,000, 2nd place will receive $500 and 3 rd, 4 th and 5 th place will each receive $250. Payments Checks will be made payable only to participating schools based on their registered TIE information for the TIE year. Payments will be paid within 8 weeks from the end of the contest. Qualifying Materials Bags from any store will be included in this program, not restricted to Harris Teeter shopping bags. Items that will NOT qualify are items such as bubble wrap, shrink wrap and other industrial plastics. Redemptions and Program Deadline In order to receive credit for the recycled bags, they must be brought to your designated Harris Teeter. Submission forms will be kept at Customer Service be sure to initial off on submission form. All qualifying submissions need to be turned in, to your designated store by June 1, Any submissions that are made after the deadline will not count towards the contest. We will gladly accept any materials that you have collected, but the collected items will not be submitted for the contest.
