Even once we get in the desert we will have colder than normal weather and high winds on Friday. The good news is Saturday and Sunday should be warmer and not as windy. Lunch today will be at Brownie s Diner in Brawley. It s a local family owned favorite and should be enjoyable. Another highlight of today s ride is our trip up the East side of the Salton Sea on Hwy 111. This area has a great and colorful history. Be sure to check out Bombay Beach and Slab City when you come back.. Other options include a $55 Annual JTNP pass or the $80 America the Beautiful pass which is good at over 2000 national recreation locations. (This is what most of us have.)
