Lalandia is regularly contacted by the press, and so we have produced this press kit in order to make everything you need to know about Lalandia as accessible as possible. 3 NEW FOR 2018: WILD ANIMALS IN THE SAND In spring 2018 a sand sculpture park was constructed at Lalandia. The sand sculptures have been created by international artists and depict wild animals. The theme will change each year. The sand sculpture park is next to the Espresso House café bar, which opened in THE LALANDIA AQUADOME The Lalandia Aquadome in Billund, at 10,000 m 2, is Scandinavia s largest waterpark. The water in the tropical waterpark is 28 C and the air is 30 C. The Aquadome consists of different types of pools and jacuzzis, and also houses a large number of water slides, including the Wild River, which is as much as 168 metres long. In the middle of the Aquadome is a water playground with water cannons and slides. The youngest bathing guests have their own area in the Aquadome, with baby-friendly and warm water pools, as well as activities for guests aged 0-5 years. There is also a spa and sauna in the Aquadome for example, a special biosauna, which is suitable for children. Throughout the year there is access to a large outdoor bathing area, where there are pools and a spa. MONKY TONKY LAND Monky Tonky Land består af en klatrejungle, rutsjebaner, boldbaner mm. THE LALANDIA CENTRE The tropical holiday centre is built around a series of arcades, the décor of which evokes the architecture of southern Europe. Above the arcades is a sky that further emphasises the theme. The covered arcades are home to restaurants, activities and shopping opportunities and at Lalandia Plaza, the indoor town square, there is frequently entertainment on the Amfi stage. WINTER WORLD The winter sports town of Winter World, at 2,500 m 2, has activities for all age groups all year round. Winter World offers a wide range of activities, including a themed ice rink, a toboggan run, a ski slope and Bumper Cars on ice. 3

4 THE HOLIDAY HOMES Lalandia in Billund rents out 879 holiday homes. The holiday homes are furnished with a dining area, sofa and chairs, TV, French-style kitchen with fridge, cooker/hot plates and oven. They have their own terrace overlooking green areas with playgrounds and sports activities, while some of the holiday homes have a spa and sauna. Some of the holiday homes have themed children s rooms. All beds come with duvets and pillows, and bed linen can be brought along or rented. Al holiday homes have a parking space. Individual requests and requirements, such as holiday homes equipped for disabled visitors and pet-free holiday homes, can be catered for. All the holiday homes at Lalandia are non-smoking and come with free WiFi. Residential guests at Lalandia have free entry to the Aquadome and free final cleaning. 4
