As well as an encouraging 20% year-on-year net profit growth in the third quarter of the year, we are pleased to reveal that a record 22 properties were recognised at the Condé Nast Traveler Readers Choice Awards this year, with Naladhu Private Island Maldives chosen as #1 Best Resort in the World. Our Founder, Chairman and CEO William E. (Bill) Heinecke was recently named HOTELS Corporate Hotelier of the World a crowning achievement of a lifetime devoted to hospitality, and testament to Minor Hotels unique vision. We are equally proud to announce AVANI Hotels & Resorts first foray into Australasia with the launch of AVANI Metropolis Auckland Residences and AVANI Broadbeach Gold Coast Residences, as well as the brand s new additions in key markets - AVANI Hua Hin Resort & Villas and AVANI Sunset Coast Samui Resort & Villas in Thailand, and AVANI Fares Maldives Resort in the world s ultimate island destination. Recently-announced partnerships also saw Tivoli Hotels & Resorts making its debut in the Middle East, AVANI Hotels & Resorts in North Africa, and Anantara in the emirate of Sharjah. As 2017 draws to a close, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your invaluable partnership as we expand our brands and footprint globally. This has been one of the most exciting years in Minor Hotels history, but there s no limit to what s yet to come. I look forward to the opportunity of growing our business together with you in the new year. STRONG PERFORMANCE IN 3Q17 Sound business and geographical diversification strategy, together with operational excellence and cost discipline, again demonstrated our resilience amidst fragile macro conditions in Thailand and some of our overseas markets. In 3Q17, Minor Hotels net profit experienced a 20% growth from 3Q16, mainly as a result of strong performance in Thailand, Brazil and Portugal, as well as robust sales momentum of Anantara Vacation Club (AVC) following the launch of its new sales model in RevPar of owned hotels in Thailand increased by 11% year-on-year in 3Q17, driven primarily by our properties in Bangkok. Our two Tivoli properties in Brazil continued to benefit from improving macro conditions and recent renovations, resulting in significant occupancy and RevPAR increases. In Portugal, the Tivoli portfolio achieved double-digit RevPar growth - also as a result of renovations on the properties, as well as the strength of Portugal s high season. Going into 2018, we remain confident in the performance of our portfolio. Our properties in Thailand are expected to continue to perform well, supported by long-term high tourist demand through and beyond the upcoming high season. Both properties in Brazil are expected to sustain solid occupancy and ADR growth as a result of property renovations and improving macro conditions. 4 AN EXPANDING PORTFOLIO IN KEY MARKETS Three recently-announced developments and joint ventures boost the presence of AVANI Hotels & Resorts - our fastest-growing brand - in our home market of Thailand, and the Maldives, a key Indian Ocean destination. AN IDYLLIC SAMUI PARADISE AVANI Sunset Coast Samui Resort & Villas A SECLUDED BEACH ESCAPE IN HUA HIN AVANI Hua Hin Resort & Villas Occupying an idyllic location within the enclave of Pang Kha Bay, a 40 minute drive from Samui International Airport, AVANI Sunset Coast Samui Resort & Villas is projected to open in September Designed in contemporary tropical chic, the property boasts a collection of 25 stylish rooms with private balconies and 33 sea-facing, one- and two-bedroom villas with plunge pools. A MALDIVIAN DEBUT FOR AVANI HOTELS & RESORTS AVANI Fares Maldives Resort AVANI Hua Hin Resort & Villas is the result of a new joint venture partnership between Minor Hotels and B&G Park Co. Ltd. and represents an investment of USD 22.5 million by Minor Hotels. Formerly Ananda Hua Hin Resort & Spa, the beachfront property has been recently relaunched under the AVANI Hotels & Resorts brand. In addition to 196 rooms, suites and pool villas, the property also features a Jazz Club, AVANISPA with an authentic hammam, a large lagoon swimming pool as well as an expansive 900 square metre ballroom - the largest event space in Hua Hin. One of the oldest and most distinguished seaside retreats in Thailand, Hua Hin is a 2.5-hour drive, or 25-minute flight, south of Bangkok. Marking the brand s debut in the Maldives, AVANI Fares Maldives Resort is scheduled to open in Q on a private 12-hectare island in the Baa Atoll. The USD 70-million development is a joint venture partnership between Minor Hotels and Cyprea Group. The first phase of the property will comprise 200 rooms and villas, with an open-plan pavilion overlooking the ocean serving as the island hub. With spectacular reefs and a plethora of sea life, the nearby Ahivahfushi Beyru offers an amazing diving and snorkeling experience Minor Hotels Minor Hotels. 07

5 CEMENTING OUR FOOTPRINT In the Middle East and North Africa Recently-announced partnerships saw the entry of three Minor Hotels brands into the Middle East and North Africa. Hot on the heels of the launch of Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels by Tivoli as the brand s inaugural property in Qatar, two further Tivoli hotels and an Oaks property will open in this growth market. In Tunisia, AVANI Hotels & Resorts will debut with two properties. Souq Al Wakra Hotel Qatar by Tivoli blends artful tradition and top-end contemporary leisure in Souq Al Wakra, a seaside district 20 minutes from downtown Doha. The 101-key property comprises two former heritage houses, magnificently restored in classic Qatari style and inspired by Al Wakra s history as a pearling and fishing village. Facilities will include two restaurants, a shisha lounge overlooking the sea, majlis areas and Tivoli Spa and fitness. HERITAGE IN THE HEART OF QATAR Tivoli Hotels & Resorts now operates Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels, one of the many assets managed by Katara Hospitality. A unique collection of nine historic buildings, Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels by Tivoli is located close to Doha s Hamad International Airport, as well as major business districts. This represents only the first step in Minor Hotels planned expansion of Tivoli Hotels & Resorts outside of its home markets of Portugal and Brazil. Three new-build properties - also owned by Katara Hospitality - will also open in Qatar under the Tivoli Hotels & Resorts and Oaks Hotels & Resorts brands in Tivoli Al Najada Doha Hotel and Oaks Al Najada Doha are part of the same new development in downtown Doha, within easy walking distance of the new Msheireb district, Bank Street and the renowned Souq Waqif. COASTAL CHARM IN TUNISIA AVANI Hotels & Resorts is set to debut in North Africa with two new properties in Tunisia, in partnership with Groupe Chaabane. AVANI Les Berges Du Lac Tunis Suites will be opening shortly in a prime commercial, residential and diplomatic area in the Tunisian capital. The 41-key property will offer exclusive serviced apartment accommodation options ranging from studios to three-bedroom apartments and lofts, addressing corporate and extended-stay demands. Currently in the design phase, AVANI Gammarth Tunis Resort & Spa is expected to open in Located 30 minutes from the city centre, Gammarth is an upmarket coastal resort area, catering to a mix of leisure, government, corporate and MICE demands. The property will offer 232 rooms and 18 private beach villas as part of a larger development that will include retail and entertainment zones. A WEALTH OF LUXURIOUS EXPERIENCES IN THE UAE Launching in April 2018, Tivoli Al Najada Doha Hotel will feature 151 guest rooms and suites. Amongst the property s first-class facilities are alfresco dining options and an impressive ballroom with a capacity of 250 guests. Also opening in April 2018, the adjacent Oaks Al Najada Doha offers 100 elegant serviced apartments which blend contemporary minimalist style with Arabian artistry. This will be the third Oaks property in the Middle East. We have signed a management agreement with Basma Group and ARADA for a new Anantara property in Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. Scheduled to open in 2020, the 233-key Anantara Sharjah Resort will be located on a prime beachfront location, approximately 30 minutes' drive from Dubai International Airport and 15 minutes' drive from Sharjah International Airport. The new-build resort will offer a selection of accommodation options including Deluxe Rooms and Luxury Suites. There is a huge opportunity within the luxury segment in Sharjah, the UAE s third-largest emirate. Home to great beaches, Sharjah is well known for its commitment to art, culture and preserving the local heritage, with an impressive selection of museums, art galleries and beautifully restored traditional areas Minor Hotels Minor Hotels. 09

6 OPTIMISING OUR EXISTING ASSETS From new suites to complete refurbishments, recent investments in key Anantara and AVANI assets in Thailand, Cambodia and Botswana demonstrate our commitment to create upside and boost future performance. ANANTARA LAWANA KOH SAMUI RESORT ANANTARA SIAM BANGKOK HOTEL Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel s new 42 square metre Deluxe and Premier rooms inject a fresh sense of luxury by infusing contemporary aesthetic with a subtle Thai character. This refurbishment completes a THB 470 million investment that also saw an upgrade of the property s suites and public spaces, giving discerning leisure and business travellers alike an even more luxurious experience at Anantara s flagship in Thailand. After an extensive refurbishment, Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort will reopen in December All of the property s 122 rooms and private pool villas have been enhanced to give their Sino-Thai traditional style a contemporary appeal. The renovated beachfront infinity pool flows into the horizon, whilst the Anantara Spa features a newly landscaped courtyard garden. The property s restaurants - including the award-winning Tree Tops Sky Dining & Bar - have been given a sleeker look and feel, and the meeting facilities are now amongst the biggest and newest in Koh Samui. ANANTARA ANGKOR RESORT Following its recent transformation to an all-suite property, Anantara Angkor Resort has now launched its top suite categories. The two-bedroom Henri Mouhot Suite pays tribute to the French naturalist and explorer who alerted the West to the ruins of Angkor in Inspired by the pioneering spirit of Jim Thompson, founder of the world-renowned Jim Thompson Thai Silk Company, the one-bedroom Anantara Explorer Suite is bedecked in colourful, contemporary silk. Both suites have been meticulously crafted to bring a new level of luxury to Siem Reap. AVANI GABORONE RESORT & CASINO AVANI Gaborone Resort & Casino has been relaunched at the completion of an extensive BWP 79 million refurbishment to introduce AVANI Hotels & Resorts signature design hallmarks to the property. Renovated main areas include an open-plan lobby blending reception, lounge, eateries and chill-out spaces. Meeting facilities now feature a conference room for up to 500 guests and five seminar rooms. 156 guest rooms have been redesigned to maximise space and functionality and refitted with the latest technology Minor Hotels Minor Hotels. 11

Heinecke, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Minor International, being named Corporate Hotelier of the World for WHAT S NEW AT ELEWANA COLLECTION? Recent and upcoming events reflect Elewana Collection s commitment to delivering unrivalled safari experiences in harmony with Africa. WORLD TOURISM DAY AT ARUSHA COFFEE LODGE Elewana Collection and its Trust - Land & Life Collection - were proud hosts of this year s East Africa celebrations of the United Nations World Tourism Organization s World Tourism Day at Arusha Coffee Lodge. With a focus on Sustainable Tourism - A Tool for Development, representatives of Tanzania s travel and tourism industry joined members of the government and non-governmental organisations in recognising the achievements of local operators in preserving the country s unique landscape and wildlife. From humble beginnings in Thailand, Heinecke has spearheaded the growth of Minor Hotels - which now boasts a portfolio of innovative brands spanning over 150 hotels and resorts in 24 countries with a pipeline to venture into new destinations. In this highly prestigious individual accolade, the self-taught and self-made billionaire was applauded for his life-long accomplishments, his pioneering, competitive and entrepreneurial spirit, as well as his passion for making a difference in Thailand and beyond. Commenting on the award, Heinecke said, I am truly honoured and humbled to receive this award and to have my name added to the incredible list of previous winners, a true roll-call of industry leaders and pioneers. I m thrilled to play a role in such a dynamic industry. I m still constantly learning, finding new ways of growing our business and to do it better - I certainly have no plans to hand over the reins at Minor just yet. In his acceptance speech, Heinecke spoke of how the creation of Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas reflects his personal appreciation for authentic luxury in unique destinations. Heinecke s private passions are also richly evident in Minor s charitable endeavours, most notably the Heinecke Foundation s educational sponsorship of underprivileged children and the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation s efforts to help Thailand s elephant population. SkySafari by Elewana has unveiled a new photo safari led by award-winning wildlife photographer Luke Massey. Scheduled from 9 to 16 December 2017, the exclusive itinerary includes stays at Elsa's Kopje in the rugged wilderness of Meru National Park, Loisaba Tented Camp with views of the snow-capped Mount Kenya, and Sand River Masai Mara amidst a lush landscape in a secluded area of the world-renowned Masai Mara.
