2 Casino Information The 300+ member Viejas Band of the Kumeyaay Indian Nation owns and operates the Viejas Casino and Turf Club. The original casino opened on 13 September 1991 with 10,000 square feet of gaming space and has grown substantially since then to 210,000 square foot casino after many expansions. Located on a 1,700 acre reservation parcel, 40 miles east of San Diego just north of I-8 freeway. Open 24 hours daily, Viejas Casino features 2,240 state-of-the-art slot and video poker machines. There are 50 gaming tables that include Blackjack, Poker, Baccarat, Pai Gow Poker, Super Pan 9, Caribbean Stud and Let It Ride besides a Bingo room card and a race book. The casino hosts a variety of live musical entertainment in the Dreamcatcher Showroom and the Lounge. Restaurants: The Grove Steakhouse - Lunch and dinner daily. Harvest buffet - buffet for lunch and dinner daily and Sunday brunch. Sunrise Diner - breakfast, lunch, dinner. China Camp - Chinese food, lunch and dinner. Mezz Deli - appetizers and sandwiches. Parking facilities are very good, featuring a 2,300 + vehicle surfaced parking areas. 3 Entry Level Players Card 1 st Issue - using a bar code system the card was scanned at the Bingo Hall by the cashier or the Gaming Table by a casino employee with a bar code reader as you started play and when you left the table. Card manufacturer PGI, dated 07/98. 1 st Issue, Variant Different card manufacture, CPI LA dated 10/99, as noted on backside lower left-hand corner. 2 nd Issue - using a bar code system the card was scanned at the Gaming Table or Video machine by a casino employee with a hand carried bar code reader as you started play and at timely periods thereafter. 4 3 rd Issue redesigned front and back including adding a magnetic strip for use in video or slot machines with slot card provisions. 3 rd Issue Variant changed to a narrow magnetic strip and a comma has been added after the word entertainment on the backside changing the meaning of the sentence. 3 rd Issue Variant bar code is printed in blue.
