Originally, the château was to be renovated and made only partially open to the public. However, given its rich past and historic buildings of the former estate, the Dětenice Château Resort has been transformed into the resort that stands today. Gradual and extensive renovation of the individual buildings have been made and include future plans of expansion. The château was the first to be reconstructed, which was then soon followed by the brewery. Within the brewery is our Beer Museum, where you can taste some of the delicious and original beers. In 2003 the Medieval Tavern opened, the first in the Czech Republic, and as soon you walk in you feel as if you have been transported in the Middle Ages.
