2 Message of the CHAIRMAN LOCAL ORGANISING COMMITTEE Dear Partners, I am pleased to inform you that Prague and Czech Group of Veterinary Ophthalmology are very honored to host the European Veterinary Ophthalmology Conference 2018 which will be joint event of European Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology and East European Society of Veterinary Ophthalmology. In October 11 th - 14 th 2018, Prague will be the meeting point for veterinary ophthalmologists wishing to learn the latest high level information. Main topic of ESVO/EESVO conference is Retina and Vitreoretinal Surgery. We will start with a Hereditary Eye Disease session with many challenging slides and with our keynote speakers: Joe Wolfer and Adolfo Guandalini. Joe Wolfer, DVM, ACVO diplomate, his main professional interest is retinal surgery, and he is one of the few veterinary ophthalmologists in North America who provide surgical care for patients with retinal detachment. Adolfo Guandalini, DVM, PhD, ECVO diplomate, is member of HED committee of the ECVO, involved in the gonioscopy subcommittee for the new system. Joe and Adolfo, will present a scientific view of case selection and vitreoretinal surgery step by step including complications and long term prognosis. The top-class workshops are prepared on Sunday. We are happy to confirm vitreoretinal surgery course on Eyesi surgical simulator and are working on corneal surgery course as well.
