15 IGUASSU (BRAZIL) 3 DAYS / 2 NIGHTS APRIL 23 RD 25 TH, 2016 The Iguassu Falls, 275 waterfalls of the Iguassu River straddling the jungle borders between Brazil and Argentina, are one of nature s most spectacular creations. A 2-hour flight connects Rio, Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires to the city of Iguassu and both sides of the Falls. The Brazilian side is farther from the tumblers but delivers a panorama and better view of the greatest section, Devil s Throat. Here, 14 falls combine in the 330-foot fall, pounding the water below with such force that there is a constantly rising huge rainbow-spanned cloud of spray. The Argentinian side, however, is more pleasant to explore, and offers such a close-up of the thundering water that most visitors wear waterproof raincoats. The Falls are shared by two Iguassu parks the National Park in Brazil and the Nacional Park in Argentina each has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You must visit both! ITINERARY: Day 1 Iguassu Falls Upon arrival at the airport transfer to the hotel. Balance of the day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel. Day 2 Iguassu Falls Today we tour the Brazilian side, starting from the Park, which has a road leading to the start of the Cascades Trail, a moderate walk that takes you high above the river to a series of galleries with great views of the Argentinian side. At the end of the path, walk down to a boardwalk which extends to the lower base of Devil s Throat. Or, you can stay on the car the way to the end, and take a glass-enclosed elevator down. In any case, be aware of the coatis you encounter en route they know what snacks you are carrying and will climb up and help themselves! Then embark on the Macuco Safari. The big adventure begins inside the Iguassu National Park. The tour starts with a ride through the Macuco Trail in an open jeep-towed wagon permitting a free view of the scenery. During the ride there is a stop for those who want to take a dip in one of the falls (optional). Next head to the Macuco Safari dock on the Brazilian side of the Iguassu River. Board an inflatable bi-motor boats. The boat travels up-river, passing the canyon, facing the rapids. Rocks, animals and a spectacular green landscape complete the scenery until it reachs the great horseshoe known as the Devil's Throat. To top the tour off, the pilot will give everyone a splash by navigating through the spray of one of the falls! We recommend that passengers bring a change of clothes, due to the constant spray from the falls, and don't bring anything that cannot get wet - lockers are available at the pier before boarding.

16 After lunch (ow own), we ll cross the border into Argentina and depart for a tour of the Argentinian side of the falls. An environmentally friendly, open air, narrow gauge Waterfalls Train runs through the forest, alive with orchids, colorful birds and brilliant butterflies, and deposits you at Devil s Gorge Station. From here, steel catwalks on the upper side of the river offer a fine wildlife show and bring you to the suspended platform at the brink of Devil s Throat, while another trail leads eventually to a stairway to the river below, where a short boat ride highly recommended makes a pass close to one of the falls. Count on getting soaked in either case! Nearby is a marker showing the point at which Brazil, Argentine and Paraguay converge. Overnight at the hotel. (B) Day 3 Iguassu Falls At an appropriate time, transfer to the airport. (B) Breakfast, (L) Lunch, (D) Dinner RATES: STANDARD ROOM: - $ per person / double occupancy - $ Single Features: Accommodation for 2 nights at a (4*) hotel.
